Product Integrity manages the safety and compliance of products being sold or distributed with Disney brands, characters and other intellectual property. As the Product Integrity Analyst, you will support product sustainability compliance and environmental claims substantiation activities in collaboration with product development and sustainability teams. Supporting both Owned & Operated and Licensed merchandise, the analyst works cross functionally with teams including Global Product, Sourcing, Legal, Commercialization and Disney Parks Experiences & Products (DPEP) Citizenship to support our Company’s sustainability goals.
What You Will Do
Research, Operations and Product Reviews:
Identify, analyze, and track current, new, and emerging environmental/sustainability regulations globally, in partnership with existing teams.
Research and track industry standard methodologies for substantiating environmental claims.
Maintain Disney Technical Product specifications, as required (Product Guidelines, Test Protocol, etc., pertaining to marketing claims of sustainable materials or environmental requirements)
Maintain Packaging/Labeling Guides and other compliance resource documents for environmental claims.
Draft and maintain working procedures and compliance resources while supporting 2030 Environmental Sustainability Material Goals
Review sustainability and environmental claims on specific product packaging or packaging artwork
Communicate with testing laboratories and suppliers to ensure clarity of materials traceability requirements
Business Partnerships:
Clearly communicate environmental sustainability compliance requirements to internal business partners on “green” product claims and 2030 Material Goals
Collaborate with Sourcing, Brand Merchandising, Global Product Creation, and suppliers regarding relevant regulatory and Disney sustainability requirements for specific types of merchandise
Notify partners of upcoming changes to regulations and Product Guideline revisions as they relate to the use of lower environmental impact materials
Support the development of a sustainability compliance roadmap for consumer products while partnering with the business to stay up to date on key business initiatives.
Required Qualifications & Skills
1+ years in consumer product compliance/safety or sustainability
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Ability to manage multiple projects at once
Proficient with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
Knowledge of global environmental and sustainability regulations, issues, and trends
Experience collaborating with internal and external resources to develop strategies that meet department goals within budget and established timelines
Experience developing and delivering presentations to various audience levels within, and external to, an organization
Education
Bachelor degree in related environmental studies field, or equivalent applicable work experience.
