Senior Associate - Talent Insights and Intelligence

Talent Attraction & Acquisition (TA²) VTH supports a specific Region and acts as part of the extended Region Recruitment team.

VTH works in a fully integrated way with onshore Recruitment colleagues participating in meetings, projects and planning activities as part of one team. The Team supports the region in performing operational and administrative tasks to allow the onshore team to focus on consultative and strategic activities based on the priorities of the Region.

 

The selected individual will be a key part of the UK & Ireland Talent Intelligence team, which forms part of the Experience Hire function within Talent Attraction & Acquisition.

 

As the appetite to inform decisions using data and intelligence grows, the Talent Intelligence team provide an offering to EY that help us understand the talent landscape from a supply, demand, competitor and workplace perspective. By utilising our rich internal library of talent intelligence coupled with using our capability to understand external talent intelligence, we support EY to make better informed, data driven decisions and achieve a competitive advantage in the market when it comes to talent.

 

Working closely with the Talent Intelligence Manager, you will support the research, creation and delivery of Talent Intelligence research projects and activities by providing knowledge and understanding of the talent market.  You will work closely with business stakeholders and the experienced hire teams to share your talent intelligence, and to work as a team to achieve recruitment objectives.

 

By working with key business stakeholders, you will also be using data, insights, and expertise to support and influence strategic decisions in areas including diversity, location strategies and competitor attraction.

 

Your key responsibilities

 

  • Undertake in depth research of the talent market to understand metrics including but not limited to talent availability, location intelligence, competitive intelligence and diversity intelligence
  • Utilise, analyse, and interpret internal and external data to provide insight on competitor and EY hiring trends and where EY sits in the marketplace.
  • Provide data driven recommendations alongside qualitative research findings to support stakeholders in understanding the talent market and the opportunities within the industry.
  • Utilise intelligence to understand opportunities in the market to engage with talent based on the engagement with the EY brand
  • Partner with other members of Experienced Hire to provide hiring manager stakeholders and business leaders information about the talent marketplace, including an understanding of where key talent resides, where EY gains and loses talent from and to and the hiring landscape across competitor firms/the wider market.  
  • Drive competitive talent intelligence research and analysis for key stakeholders when requested and on a proactive basis.
  • Create, manage and execute regular reporting activities across key service lines and competencies to provide a proactive view and identified changes in the market.
  • Bring a continuous learning mindset into the role and stay updated in the working practices, latest trends and opportunities when it comes to providing a strong Talent Intelligence service across EY
  • Understand, leverage and drive improvement in the various tools, platforms and activities that the Talent Intelligence team utilise as part of the service provided to the business.
  • Understand the ethical considerations when gathering and using data when it comes to GDPR and data privacy laws and regulations within TA.

The Talent Intelligence team have a strong passion for data, using data and intelligence in a considered and consultative approach.  By bringing this passion to the role, you can expect to be able to drive and manage strong relationships across the business due through being an expert and trusted advisor to the business.

 

  • Previous experience in providing talent intelligence and market research to stakeholders.
  • The ability to demonstrate previous experience on consultative projects using talent insights and data to influence decisions.
  • Previous experience and a keen interest in data analysis with the ability to visualise, interpret and tell a story through data.
  • Proficiency in using Excel and data visualisation tools including Power BI.
  • Proficiency in using external research methods to gather and interpret qualitative and quantitative intelligence into market opportunities and challenges
  • Ability to demonstrate strong and strategic stakeholder engagement experience to understand challenges and provide solutions that will benefit and help drive the talent strategy.  
  • Track record of providing creative solutions to recruitment challenges 
  • Demonstrable track record communicating with large groups of stakeholders
  • Social media knowledge & experience 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to quickly prioritise work and remain flexible in accordance with business needs 
  • Desire to develop and motivated to achieving targets 
  • Team player and ability to build strong relationships with new people 

 

To qualify for the role, you must have

 

  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive work experience
  • Significant experience of working in HR in professional services or corporate environment, preferred
  • Knowledge and/or experience in working with Talent Intelligence tools such as LinkedIn Talent Insights, Stratigens, Horsefly, Talent Neuron or similar tools.
  • Working in international and diverse environments
  • Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience in HR domain
