About the Role & Team
At Disney Parks, Experiences and Products we bring the magic of Disney stories and franchises to life through theme parks, resorts, cruise ships, outstanding vacation experiences, consumer products and more around the world. We’re seeking a dedicated Senior Research Analyst to join the Consumer Insight, Measurement, and Analytics (CIMA) team that supports Disney’s Global Consumer Products, Games, and Publishing (CPGP) business. The CIMA organization informs strategy development through relevant data analytics, integration, and insights. We provide consumer centric solutions through integration and interpretation of data, insight synthesis, and communicating results in an influential way to tackle business questions.
You will need to balance multiple assignments at once, across varied partner groups and complex businesses.
You will report to a Senior Manager within Consumer Insight and the location for this role is Orlando.
What You Will Do
- Lead and assist in the day-to-day management of both custom quantitative and qualitative market research studies from inception to completion, including client management, discussion guides, research brief, questionnaire, data analysis plan stimuli management, analysis, reporting, and presentation of research results
- Conduct surveys (including questionnaire development and data analysis) and write/present insight driven reports
- Support and manage internal ad-hoc requests and business questions by analyzing a variety of data sets (across both primary and syndicated sources as needed) and then summarizing + communicating key insights, this includes in-depth custom analyses using SPSS data sets
- Creation of presentation decks and summaries of insights uncovered, from across multiple data sources, for use in licensee/retail pitches and/or internal presentations
- Use research across syndicated sources/tools to continuously track consumer trends, consumption habits, preferences and behaviors
- Support research projects across multiple countries and regions, partnering with teams and vendors across the globe
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 3+ years of primary market research experience, managing or assisting on custom research (across both qualitative and quantitative studies)
- Experience in the implementation of custom qualitative and/or quantitative market research methodologies
- Experience in data analytics, including management and manipulation of large data sets through statistical software (e.g. SPSS, SAS, R, Python)
- Demonstrated ability to translate research data into actionable insights and recommendations through compelling reports and presentations that tell a story
- Critical thinker, able to sort through multi-faceted business issues, think out of the box and willing to try different approaches
- Ability to work collaboratively on cross-functional teams and also independently with little supervision
- Demonstrated strong work ethic and high intellectual curiosity
- High attention to detail and accuracy is a requirement
- Flexible and nimble - can quickly adapt to changing priorities
- Outstanding communicator (verbal, written, and presentation)
- Proficient in data visualization and presentation software such as PowerPoint
- Flexibility to work across different times zones as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Having CPCP background or experience conducting research in a consumer products and/or entertainment company is a preferred qualification
