Job Description:

The Part-Time Board Operator II is one who will oversee show board production, while at the same time assume responsibility of assisting the production team. This position will be one of our main contacts point for local and local team communication. This job will include building relationships with key local clients and guests. This position will be responsible for directing talent on mechanics and fundamentals (resets, promotion mentions). Responsible for fulfillment of audio billboards, commercials, paid promotional announcements and other assignments associated with board operation and production assignments.

Responsibilities:

  • Helps set the tone for all other board operators and enforces station and network on-air policies, while still being a part of producing a daily show.
  • Has multiple show responsibilities. Job includes relationship building with local and national key contacts and guests.
  • Develops and helps supports talk show topics. Directs talent on mechanics and fundamentals (resets, promotion mentions).
  • Responsible for fulfillment of audio billboards, commercials and paid promotional announcements.
  • Responsible for fulfillment of music logs, following each show assignment.
  • Assists in building daily talk show rundowns and recaps.
  • Building production/imaging for each show assigned to, including pre and post show

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a radio board operator or production experience
  • Extensive digital audio platforms experience with Wide Orbit, Adobe, ENCO or similar
  • Ability to multi task
  • Occasionally will be required to both operate the board and produce basic talk shows
  • Experience working with on-air talent
  • Podcast editing and posting experience
  • Experience with social media and successful integration

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Production background in a major market
  • Success of at least 3 years in producing a major market program
  • Digitally and social media savvy is a must and will be part of daily show routine
  • Building routines either running a board or producing a show, as needed

Required Education:

  • High school Diploma

Preferred Education:

  • Graduate of 4 year university or college with a bachelor's degree in Journalism/Mass Communication, or graduation from a certified communications school.

The hiring range for this position in Los Angeles, CA is $39,442 - $52,910 per year based on a 25-hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
