About the Role & Team - Responsible for tactical project management of small projects from Blue Sky to close out. Regularly works with creative, technical, engineering, construction, and operations teams in the delivery of facility, ride and show design and systems throughout the life of the project. Frontline manager responsible for the integration of all project work, monitoring the budget, and ensuring that the delivery schedule is met. If selected for this role, you will report to (Senior, Principal or Executive Project Manager). This is a long-term project hire role.
You Will:
On any given day, what you will do as an Assistant, Project Manager, you might:
Primary Duties:
Accountable for fiscal and schedule performance of a small project or assist in leading the scope for a medium to large project
Assist with the identification, impact assessment, and disposition of project changes and risks
Ensure alignment of scope to both budget and schedule
Present project status, risks, opportunities, and issues for partner concern to Senior Leadership
Produce and quality check routine and ad hoc reporting
Participate in developing Capital Authorization Requests
Lead development of the Program Book
Understand project scoping documents, deliverables, and plans
Lead development of project scope and ensure schedule and budget are appropriately quantified
Assist in development of the project delivery strategy on small scopes of work
Assist in determining mitigations for variances to project plan and required corrective actions
Assist with the development of project resource plans
Collaborate with internal and external organizations including project team, creative and design studios, operations, municipalities, vendors, and contractors
Support preparation of contract documents for bid packages
Ensure the implementation of the coordinated input matrix and track project deliverables
Collect, assemble, quality check, and produce project documentation related to PM activities and ensure the overall project documentation program is implemented
Understand project workflows, design inputs and outputs, and project sequencing relationships
Participate in the identification and assessment of project risk and contingency determinations, engage project core team on understanding and developing mitigation strategies
Support the project turnover processes including collecting and submitting turnover deliverables, documenting project lessons learned and standard process
Required Qualifications & Skills - Experience:
At least 2 years relevant experience
Themed entertainment experience preferred
High-End Hospitality/Resort or complex integrated facility experience preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to think tactically and apply basic problem solving skills
Demonstrate basic leadership and empathy skills, and partnering ability
Meeting leadership, facilitation, basic conflict resolution, and alignment skills
Good communication, collaboration, technical writing, and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of design, production, and/or construction
Understanding of the relationship between scope, cost, and schedule and implications of the impact of one to the other
Understanding of contract administration, contract management, legal and commercial terms, and basic negotiation skills
Understand basic design drawings
Understand of baseline plans and change management
Knowledge of themed entertainment and Disney preferred
Basic stress tolerance
Education:
4-year undergraduate degree, preferably in a WDI core technical field such as engineering, architecture, construction management, or equivalent work experience in project management

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $90,500.00 to $124,400.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.Job Posting Segment:
