Responsibilities
In DE&E Technology, every day is different! In Technology, change is constant and operations are multifaceted, so we must be flexible. On any one day you might:
We prepare forecasts, annual operating plan, long-range plan (LRP), and variance analysis for Engineering Services pillar as advised by Segment and Corporate FP&A.
We build and maintain a comprehensive forecasting model for supported areas; Present Forecast and Actuals to budget owners during forecast cycles and manage quarterly close activities.
We establish positive relationships and collaborate frequently with key Technology customers, including senior executives, chiefs of staff, budget owners, and engineers, to update forecasts, report actuals, and analyze trends.
We assess risks and opportunities and present recommendations to Finance and Technology leaders over the course of the year.
We work on ad-hoc strategic analysis and reporting as requested by Technology leaders, lines of business (LOBs) and/or Finance Consolidations team
We work with Technology leaders and team members across The Walt Disney Company to map costs to a catalogue of services provided to internal clients; support the Allocations process to ensure that client P&Ls are appropriately charged for services provided by DE&E Technology.
We manage quarter close by collaborating with Accounting to prepare accruals, prepaid expenses, and various journal entries as necessary; Report variance explanations as part of a quarterly close package.
We analyze trends to support storytelling and influence decision-making.
We contribute to presentations for review.
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of meaningful work experience
Collaborative mentality combined with the ability to work independently
Proven track record to manage multiple results in a fast-paced environment
Strong financial modeling and analytical abilities
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Sophisticated proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Intellectual curiosity
Executive presence; comfortable and confident engaging with senior leaders
Experience with ERP software such as SAP and COGNOS preferred but not required
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g. MBA, CPA) preferred but not required

The hiring range for this position in California is $101,790 to $124,410 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.Job Posting Segment:
