Job Description

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a sales professional to manage and grow our global business relationship with one of the largest entertainment and technology companies in the world.

The Global Account Manager will be responsible for providing global business leadership and management of this global account segment. Of particular importance will be the pursuit of net-new customers and incremental business opportunity across the full breadth of this customer’s global landscape. You will build and maintain key relationships, develop and manage opportunities, monitor deployment projects and engage virtual resources to scale. You will define a CXO relationship strategy across the account and engage AWS senior leadership teams for executive sponsorship and alignment, advancing a strategic business partnership and maintaining a trusted advisor relationship at all levels of the customer organization.

Our team is dedicated to supporting new members. We have a broad mix of experience levels and tenures, and we’re building an environment that celebrates knowledge sharing and mentorship. We care about your career growth and strive to assign projects based on what will help each team member develop into a better-rounded professional and enable them to take on more complex tasks in the future.

Here at AWS, we embrace our differences. We are committed to furthering our culture of inclusion. We have ten employee-led affinity groups, reaching 40,000 employees in over 190 chapters globally. We have innovative benefit offerings, and we host annual and ongoing learning experiences, including our Conversations on Race and Ethnicity (CORE) and AmazeCon (gender diversity) conferences. Amazon’s culture of inclusion is reinforced within our 16 Leadership Principles, which remind team members to seek diverse perspectives, learn and be curious, and earn trust.

Our team also puts a high value on work-life balance. Striking a healthy balance between your personal and professional life is crucial to your happiness and success here, which is why we aren’t focused on how many hours you spend at work or online. Instead, we’re happy to offer a flexible schedule so you can have a more productive and well-balanced life—both in and outside of work.

Key job responsibilities
The Global Account Manager (GAM) is responsible for teaming with the customer’s Line-of-Business (LOB) and IT Organizations to build strategic relationships across the account, articulating a clear vision and generating enthusiasm, while impacting all business groups. The GAM will work with all appropriate AWS resources (Executives, Solution Architects, Business Development, Marketing, Partners, Support, Service teams and Professional Services) to support customer interests. This includes dotted line responsibility for downstream sales and technical resources that may be geographically distributed.

A priority for this role will be to enhance and expand direct Line-of-Business customer engagement. While partnership with IT and technology teams will remain core to the role, growth of net-new LOB business and the potential for LOB partnership will be a differentiating capability for this role. Development of formal case studies and other forms of references highlighting the success of these LOB activities and workloads running on AWS will also be core to the role.
