Position Summary:

The continued growth of the GDS D&A and IA practice as well as the continued focus by the firm on Analytics as one of the growth accelerators for Consulting, now requires additional Partner roles to help manage and drive the Next Wave of growth in this space. There is a huge impetus on GDS to spearhead in developing and executing strategic roadmap in D&A and IA areas for APAC Region which requires a dedicated PPED role to ensure non-linear growth for the practice over the next 5 years.

Existing penetration in ASEAN FSO across regions in FY 23 was 5.4% and Target penetration across regions should be 25% in FY 25. As FSO represents 50% of global D&A increase in penetration in FSO will significantly improve GDS D&A and IA numbers. In FY 23 GDS ASEAN FSO DnA hours is expected to be at least 50 K hrs. with HC of 70, and target FY 25 with 1.2 Mn hrs. with HC of 200.

 

Essential Functions of the Job:

Core responsibilities for dedicated senior leader (Executive Director level) would be–

  • Lead the charter for ASEAN (FS) to build out offerings in next gen space and to infuse GDS more strongly in the operating model.
  • Lead the GTM, Deal Solutioning, penetration for D&A and IA across ASEAN (FS) along with D&A, IA and AI Champions in the region.
  • Set and lead the delivery for ASEAN (FS) from existing and new locations – Colombo, China which setting up team, enabling EY process & methods, making it adhere to GDS Quality expectations.
  • The leader would be focused on enabling DnA, Sector and Region champions in winning G360, Core, and other account engagements by working with them on solutioning, orals and staffing requirements. Leader will work on infusing DnA, AI and IA solutions not only in existing offerings but also in building out new offerings as per market requirements and competitor assessment.

 

Responsibilities include

  • Demonstrate strong next gen technology acumen and establish credibility with FSO DnA in ASEAN. Drive financial impact with an ability to generate over 0.2 Mn hours for GDS D&A FSO ASEAN while influencing $50+ million revenue opportunities with member firms on Technology consulting by FY 25.
  • Infuse Intelligent Automation and ML/AI into offering and solution from other competencies which have strong presence in the region. Create roadshows and marketing campaigns for D&A, AI, and IA for outreach and presence felt.
  • Designing and executing the blueprint for hyper growth in key offerings under the FoP TT&TI and Data Insights Transformation to help GDS FSO DnA achieve the 200 FTE target by FY '25 from current HC of 90.
  • Own and anchor multiple FSO accounts such as Singlife, NTUC, Great Eastern, AIA, MUFG and grow the GDS penetration to large numbers for GDS Consulting. Ability to solution/architect complex /large transformative deals in technology
  • Own and harvest into accounts which has region presence, but GDS presence is lesser like - ICBC, HSBC, CCB, DBS in the region.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership by active participation in DnA forums globally, including with analysts (Gartner/IDC)
  • Leverage existing global Alliances and establish new (along with global stakeholders)
  • Work with client facing teams and management to prepare estimates, Point of Views, Position Papers and contribute towards D&A, AI and IA pursuits and proposals.
  • Ability to solution/architect complex /large transformative deals in technology
  • Managing team of Direct Reports of – 2 Associate Directors, 3 Senior Managers to start with. Person will responsibility of team size of 70  in current fiscal which will be growing to 250 by FY 25

 

Technical responsibilities include,

  • Demonstrate strong consulting experience, in-depth business knowledge in Analytics, AI and Automation areas of the business, ability to sell and run large scale consulting engagements with distributed delivery mindset.
  • Develop newer Analytics, AI, Automation solution offerings at GDS by collaborate and infusion of Analytics, AI, and Automation services in EY’s delivery of technology services such as SAP, Cloud, Cybersecurity and Risk through integration at GDS and local market levels.
  • Develop capabilities at GDS to support market development and service delivery for D&A and IA in technologies such as Cloud, IoT/OT, Cyber and SAP. This would involve recruitment / training of relevant talent, regional integration, and market maker positioning, as well as development of both traditional and pay-per-use services for delivery across all regions.

 

 

Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:

  • GDS DnA ASEAN FSO leader person must ensure the required level of commitment and focus from GDS to ensure EY is able to achieve its potential in FSO sector in ASEAN which has good amount of BCM, WAM and Insurance presence. Additionally, person will be responsibility for conducting Go-To-Market activities in ASEAN FSO with an ability to generate over 0.2 Mn hours for GDS while supporting $100+ million revenue opportunities with regional firms on Technology consulting by FY 250.
  • The right resource should use a combination of data, market experience, relationships, and drive to achieve his/her objectives
  • Collaborate frequently with ASEAN FS D&A Champions to work closely with their respective clients to identify D&A, AI/ML, IA opportunities, participate in RFPs, Pursuits, Influence, Present, Propose and Deliver large scale analytics & automation transformation programs for EY across all regions and delivery from GDS.
  • GDS DnA ASEAN FS leader would need to represent GDS in
    • Client RFP proposal presentations, orals, discussions, and workshops.
    • Analyst Surveys, EY Global and Regional events, Roadshows, Alliance meet.
  • The person would also be responsible in nurturing existing Alliances into strong relationships and help identify & incubate strategic alliances for future in next gen technology.

 

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

  • Demonstrate strong consulting experience, in-depth business knowledge in Analytics, AI and Automation areas of the business, ability to sell and run large scale consulting engagements with distributed delivery mindset.
  • Develop newer Analytics, AI, Automation solution offerings at GDS by collaborate and infusion of Analytics, AI, and Automation services in EY’s delivery of technology services such as SAP, Cloud, Cybersecurity and Risk through integration at GDS and local market levels.
  • Develop capabilities at GDS to support market development and service delivery for D&A and IA in technologies such as Cloud, IoT/OT, Cyber and SAP. This would involve recruitment / training of relevant talent, regional integration, and market maker positioning, as well as development of both traditional and pay-per-use services for delivery across all regions.
  • Technology operations expertise, preferably in data, 20+ years across a variety of roles spanning client delivery, innovation, solution architecting, people, and program management. At least last 5 years in technical leadership roles.

 

Job Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems Management, Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 20+ years of experience. Graduate from top college known for computer science is a huge plus
  • Experience in management consulting and IT advisory consulting organizations is a huge plus
  • Experience of managing practice/accounts with HC above 500+ would be a huge plus.
