The opportunity

 

EY is looking for a ‘Risk and Audit- Senior Consultant’ to join our rapidly expanding Technology Consulting team. The role will be based in Pakistan and will serve MENA clients both remotely and onsite across different MENA locations and mainly GCC countries.

 

EY Rapid Innovation

 

As a Multinational Member Firm in the EY network, Rapid Innovation, based in Pakistan, exclusively provides its services to MENA based EY Member Firms across the MENA region, excluding Pakistan.  The work is executed remotely by working virtually with our MENA onshore teams and sometime may require travel to MENA EY offices.

 

Your Key Responsibilities

 

You will focus on managing the implementation team for the evaluation, design, customization and optimization of Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management; leveraging Power Platform-based solutions as needed. You will coordinate your team with various EY groups with digital capabilities to pursue and deliver digital engagements and deliver solutions that will bring our client’s digital vision and strategy to life.   

 

You'll work with the client to define their timeline, scope, and resource constraints. You will provide guidance and oversight of the project team, working closely with the solution architect, client, and stakeholders to provide status updates, address any challenges, including proper execution of corrective actions, and continuously move projects forward to meet timeline, budget, and scope expectations. You will leverage EY’s implementation methodologies, from SOW and surrounding tools throughout implementation and support.

Internal Audit

 

The current role requires executing internal audit and other risk consulting engagements for asset managers or reviewing investment processes for insurance companies. As part of the role, the candidate is expected to: 

1. Perform end-to-end internal audits from planning to reporting including process understanding, walkthroughs, preparation of risk and control matrix / audit work program, control testing to assess their design and operating effectiveness, preparation of audit report and agreeing issues/ actions with management. 
2. Have an in-depth understanding of the asset management industry risks/ issues / trends and end-to-end investment process (front, mid and back-office processes) for all asset classes including fixed income, equities, derivatives, real estate, private equity/ hedge funds and alternatives. 
3.  Have thorough knowledge and understanding of Internal Audit and SOX/ ICFR methodology and IIA requirements. 
4. Deliver / manage engagements to time, cost and high quality. Identify key areas of improvement in the client's business processes and add value by preparing insightful recommendations.  
5. Contribute to business development activities such as preparing proposals, lead identification 
6. Always comply with the firm’s quality and risk management policies

 

To qualify for the role, you must have

 

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering or any other related field.
• At least three years of related work experience.
• Experience in Insurance domain is preferred
• Good understanding of core business processes associated risks and leading practice controls.
• Good understanding of principles of Internal audit, Enterprise Risk Management, Business Continuity and GRC concepts.
• Knowledge and demonstrated experience with risk management, IIA and internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO, ISO).
• Experience with the assessment, design and implementation of risk management programs, including risk governance, risk appetite and risk tolerance, risk assessment and risk mitigation strategies, risk monitoring and reporting; integration of risk management and strategic and business planning processes; and integration of risk management functions.
• Any implementation experience with known GRC tools will be considered an asset.
• IT and data analytics skills.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) skills, data analytics 

 

Ideally, you will also have

 

• Master’s degree in the areas of Business Administration, Accounting & Finance, Risk Management, Information Technology, Engineering or another related field.
• Prior experience as a consultant or client-serving professional.
• Specific sector experience in processes, risks and controls associated with these in one of the following sectors: Insurance
• Professional certifications/other certifications (completed or in progress) in the field of Risk Management, Internal Controls, Internal Audit will be considered an asset.
• Ability/flexibility to travel on overseas assignment as the need arises.
