An opportunity has opened up for an ambitious, creative and skilled Sponsorship Manager to join our Central Marketing Team on a one year maternity leave contract. The successful candidate will play a key role in building our brand and communicating our exciting initiatives through our EY Ireland sponsorship programme. 
Within EY CBS Marketing, you will have your finger on the pulse for all major activities and growth areas for the firm. Supported by the wider team, you will play an integral role in bringing our service offerings to life and driving the reputation of EY in Ireland through our sponsorship activities. 

The successful Sponsorship Manager will own and manage the EY Ireland sponsorship programme, delivering a best in class schedule of activity which supports the brand in delivery of its brand strategy whilst also positioning key Partners as thought leaders within the Irish market. We are searching for a resourceful, motivated and enthusiastic individual, who will play a key role in the delivery of an effective sponsorship programme. They will be passionate about creating notable sponsorship events, speaking opportunities and brand engagement initiatives. 
 
The opportunity
 
Reporting to the Head of Events, the Sponsorship Manager will own and oversee the successful delivery of the EY Ireland Sponsorship Programme. This includes the design and delivery of engaging national Brand Sponsorship initiatives to drive forward EY Ireland’s sponsorship of Hockey Ireland, UCD Football Club and Ballet Ireland. The role will also be accountable for working closely with lead partners across service lines to design and deliver a compelling industry sponsorship programme for EY Ireland eg EY’s sponsorship of CIO Summit, Health Summit, Medtech conference etc which positions EY Ireland and key Partners as experts within priority sectors. In addition, the Sponsorship Manager will play a key role in the management of EY’s relationship and engagement with chambers of commerce and business associations including IBEC.

Your key responsibilities/deliverables

 

• Lead the development of a compelling sponsorship programme for EY Ireland, creating an overarching plan which aligns to the EY Ireland strategy and positions EY as 1st choice professional services firm in Ireland.
• Overall project and timeline management of EY sponsorship programme. Ensuring timely project plans are created in order to deliver a dynamic sponsorship programme in a timely manner.
• Negotiate sponsorship rights and contracts with rights holders while also negotiating and carefully managing costs to remain within budget.
• Work closely with lead Partners in order to confirm speaking panels and speaking topics for key speaking opportunities at sponsored events.
• Manage client invite list to ensure key clients are invited to attend strategic sponsored activities.
• Work with creative and with agencies to develop best in class collateral to showcase EY brand at sponsored initiatives
• Work closely with internal and external comms to promote sponsorship initiatives with colleagues and with external audience.
• Work closely with digital and content teams to create compelling content to promote sponsored initiatives and to drive engagement with sponsored initiatives.
• Track, measure and report on results and return on investment for all sponsorship initiatives.
• Manage independence process for all sponsorship initiatives.
• Align with global teams to integrate global sponsorship initiatives

 
Requirements:
 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing/Event Management or equivalent
• 5+ years’ experience working in marketing/event management/sponsorship management
• Experience in managing sponsorship campaigns end to end (from contract negotiation to delivery of campaign activity)
• Excellent project management skills
• Excellent stakeholder management skills
