About the Role & Team

Are you interested in joining our team that drives our approach to connecting with over 10,000 Cast and Crew Members on land and at sea? Then look no further! This Internal Communications Manager role with the Walt Disney Company is the one for you! You will work closely with clients to develop programs and messaging for internal campaigns. You'll bring with you strong writing skills, creativity, and the ability to support event planning and determine the mix of traditional and innovative communications methods needed to make campaigns successful. You can also work well solo, or as part of a team, and will learn and adjust to keep our work fresh and engaging.

The Internal Communications Manager reports to our Senior Manager of Internal Communications and will assist in the preparation and delivery of integrated communications for Disney Signature Experiences which includes Disney Cruise Line, Disney Vacation Club, Storyliving by Disney, Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa, Golden Oak, National Geographic Expeditions, Adventures by Disney, and Disney Institute.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and implement comprehensive employee communication strategies that inform, engage, and empower Cast and Crew, while managing issues to improve and promote the reputation of DSE
  • Serve as a communicator and strategic partner for Disney Signature Experiences (DSE) business clients and operational teams, building effective relationships and identifying integration opportunities
  • Assemble and lead project teams through the successful planning and completion of projects, measured by the key deliverables, efficiency, quality, and financial impact (budget, ROI, KPIs)
  • Support engagement opportunities for advising, motivating, and encouraging Cast and Crew during an exciting period of growth
  • Be responsible for the creation of high-quality editorial content, including leading video/photo shoots, and partner with PR to share stories from our unique businesses
  • Manage a wide range of events and programs for DSE Cast and Crew in partnership with the Executive Communications team
  • Represent Communications on internal task forces supporting key business initiatives
  • Write for internal communications vehicles: The HUB, digital signage, the Disney Cast Life blog, coordination with Disney Parks, Experiences and Products (DPEP) segment/enterprise publications
  • Support global Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products, and corporate campaigns by developing site tactics and handling confidential information
  • Maintain awareness of company, industry, and overall business issues, goals, trends, and challenges

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 5+ years of communications or public affairs experience working with global brands
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Proficiency in translating business objectives into project conceptualization and development
  • Knowledge of Associated Press style guidelines. Strong copy-editing and proofing skills
  • Skilled in working with all employee communications apps and platforms (e.g. Keynote, intranet sites, collaboration tools, blogs, graphic design, video, photography, etc.)

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or a related field
