Job Description

Are you seeking an environment where you can apply the latest computer science techniques to secure the systems driving every order that Amazon ships to our customers? At Amazon, we are obsessed with customer trust. Customer Logistics Security (CLS) is a Business Security Team (BST) dedicated to World Wide Operations and Prime Air. The software development teams within CLS are responsible for building secure, scalable, and extensible services which advance security programs across the Amazon logistical chain. The CLS’s Discovery Software Development is specialized in orchestrating security tools at scale, such as Asset Discovery or Vulnerability Management scans on operational sites across the globe.

You'll be part of a world-class team in a fast-paced environment that has the entrepreneurial feel of a start-up. This is an opportunity to operate and engineer systems on a massive scale, and to gain top-notch experience in cloud computing. You'll be surrounded by people who are smart, passionate about cloud computing, and believe that world class service is critical to customer success. You will design and build the operational scalability that sustains the platform's insane growth. You will measure your success and it will be visible.

Successful candidates for this position will have strong software engineering fundamentals (data structures, object-oriented design, and algorithms), experience in the full-stack development, a well-honed arsenal of software architecture and design patterns, and a demonstrated competence in designing reusable, maintainable and performant software written in a modern high-level language (Java, Python, C++, C#, Objective-C, JavaScript). You will be a champion for engineering and operational excellence. You will also demonstrate the ability to adapt to changing business and technical environments and devising creative solutions to vexing software problems. The ability to crisply and concisely communicate orally and in writing to engineers and executives alike is essential.

In this job you will:
- Design and build reusable, maintainable, and performant software consistent with Amazon standard technologies (Java, JavaScript, React, SOA, AWS etc. ).
- Adopt best practices in software engineering: design, testing, version control, documentation, build, deployment, and operations.
- Excel in Dev-Ops along with development. Solve problems at their root, stepping back to understand the broader context.
- Build good working relationships within the team and with others across Amazon.
- Follow Scrum and other agile methods to deliver the most important features to the customer first

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:
