Your Role and Responsibilities
We are looking for a talented content designer to work on designing and delivering meaningful content that delights our customers who use our products. As a content designer in the Sustainability Software group, you will design and develop technical product content, both inside and outside of the user interface (UI), that focusses on clarity, accuracy, and enhancing the user experience. The team you’ll be joining is part of the worldwide design organization for Sustainability Software – a part of IBM that design solutions that enable businesses to transform and manage more sustainable enterprise operations and supply chains through intelligent AI-driven insights and execution.
Responsibilities

• Drive a cohesive end-to-end content experience that moves clients through every phase of their product journey and drives their actions.
• Evaluate content requests and work with stakeholders to understand business use cases, goals, and outcomes.
• Create and guide content strategies, plans, and the information architecture for communicating to the target audience.
• Work with content design, UX, visual design, and stakeholders on end-to-end delivery of the content plan.
• Design, develop, and publish IBM technical content (e.g. embedded in the UI, product tours, messages, product & API documentation, multimedia) that is easy to use and understand, accessible and retrievable. This may also include guided tours as well as training, in various media including video, WalkMe, documentation, and UI content.
• Simplify technically complex concepts and details from multiple sources into consumable content that drives user actions.
• Deliver clear, inclusive, accessible, and translated content for a global audience.
• Research and design content based on user scenarios and use cases by understanding personas, delivering content for design iterations, developing and clarifying UI terms, actively contributing to design reviews and conducting user testing/research to validate content.
• Collaborate directly with your Design team, Offering Management, Development, Marketing, Support, Sales and Training to tell a cohesive product story. Use expertise and user empathy to influence product design decisions to deliver the best user experiences we can for our clients.
• Share work in progress, along with giving and receiving critiques.
• Own parts of the end-to-end authoring process: design, development, editing, production, translation, life cycle management.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Can demonstrate high-quality writing and research skills, preferably with experience in a
technical domain.
• Proven communication skills (written and verbal) and an ability to clarify and understand
customer requirements.
• Able to work independently, with a strong sense of responsibility and commitment to a dynamic,
team-based environment.
• Able to be agile with dynamic schedules and priorities.
• Like to solve challenging problems and think of new ways to deliver better content to our
customers.
• Portfolio or samples of previous work must be presented.
• An awesome and positive attitude.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Experience with AI and/or cloud computing technology
• Experience working with enterprise software (agile/continuous delivery desired)
• Experience managing projects involving cross-functional teams
