Job Description

Would you like to help the Worldwide Public Sector business at Amazon Web Services (AWS) more effectively support the global education, government and nonprofit communities? Do you have the business background necessary to direct AWS’s strategy for investing in the public sector?

As a Sales Operation Manager for the Worldwide Public Sector Strategic Priorities and Resources team, you will be responsible for supporting our promotional credits programs by reviewing and advising on credit requests to support our public sector customers. This role offers the chance to work with several teams across our public sector business as we ensure our teams have the information and resources needed to make sound business decisions.

A successful individual will be self-motivated and have the ability to dive deep into credit requests to ensure requests meet the program guidelines. The candidate must also be able to build strong cross-group relationships and demonstrate exceptional organizational skills. Being able to understand the nuance of our programs and communicating that nuance to our stakeholders will be a pivotal aspect of this role.

Here at AWS, we embrace our differences. We are committed to furthering our culture of inclusion. We have ten employee-led affinity groups, reaching 40,000 employees in over 190 chapters globally. We have innovative benefit offerings, and we host annual and ongoing learning experiences, including our Conversations on Race and Ethnicity (CORE) and AmazeCon (gender diversity) conferences. Amazon’s culture of inclusion is reinforced within our 14 Leadership Principles, which remind team members to seek diverse perspectives, learn and be curious, and earn trust.
We are dedicated to supporting our new team members. Our team has a broad mix of experience levels and Amazon tenures, and we’re building an environment that celebrates knowledge sharing and mentorship.
Our team also puts a high value on work-life balance. Striking a healthy balance between your personal and professional life is crucial to your happiness and success here, which is why we aren’t focused on how many hours you spend at work or online. Instead, we’re happy to offer a flexible schedule so you can have a more productive and well-balanced life—both in and outside of work.

By working together on behalf of our customers, we are building the future one innovative product, service, and idea at a time. Are you ready to embrace the challenge? Come build the future with us.
