As a Data Quality Analysis & Advisory (DQAA) analyst, you will play a key role in assuring data quality as well as minimizing risk to the firm by applying analytical skills to unique and multi-faceted scenarios.  The DQAA analyst, with direction from the group supervisor as well as multiple Core Business Services (CBS) functions, will analyze exceptions, research cause, present options, and suggest the best solution.  The successful candidate will be able to analyze complex situations and provide options for resolution.  Knowledge of EY systems, MS excel, MS access database, Power BI, SQL, and communication skills are a plus.


The opportunity:
The Data Quality Analysis & Advisory (DQAA) analyst will be a key contributor to EY’s NextWave data strategy.  The cases for review will vary in range and complexity.  This challenging role is best suited for an analyst that is inquisitive and thrives in the successful resolution of complicated issues.  This role will have exposure to higher levels in the firm, such as account team leaders and Global Client Service Partners, as well as CBS function leaders.


Your key responsibilities:

  • Research and resolve DQAA issues as assigned
  • Prepare communications as prescribed
  • Summarize issues for supervisor review
  • Provide support to Core Business Services Data Office (CBS DO), Risk, Markets, and Mercury Support Team (MST) as needed related to data issues, when appropriate
  • Answer support emails and provide policy guidance
  • Execute MS Access Databases to generate files to be used for our EEML BAU process.
  • Create and adjust any queries that are needed for our EEML BAU and ad hoc files.
  • Support the PE NextWave initiative by analyzing data submitted by the account teams and creating files with raw data.


Skills and attributes for success:
To qualify for the role, you must have: 

  • 2+ years of experience with data analysis
  • Analytical skills and / or background
  • Ability to resolve complex situations with input required from multiple groups and levels
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • MS Excel skills
  • MS Access Database experience
  • Ability to work with Power BI
  • SQL 

 

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • Knowledge of EY internal systems strongly recommended
  • Experience with Finance, Risk and/or Markets systems at EY
