The opportunity

 

Our People Advisory Services managed services team are looking for a Compliance and Commercial Manager to join our Belfast Office, reporting to the Commercial, Service Quality and Risk Lead. The Compliance and Commercial Manager will manage and be responsible for supplier assurance, commercial management, EY and Client contractual compliance activities for Suppliers, as well as for client and supplier engagement related to role responsibilities.  They will be part of the Commercial, Service Quality and Risk Team comprising the functional areas below:

 

1. Supplier Management – Suppliers are onboarded and managed by the Supplier Management team which also matches suppliers to requirements. The team manage the supplier relationships focusing on supplier performance, value add and continuous improvement,
2. Service Quality and Risk management - ensures compliance of delivery with the service quality and risk management framework to drive service quality and ensure effective risk management. It also leads on complaints, escalations and incident investigation and reporting.
3. Commercial Management - Commercial support on pricing, contracting and contract management is provided by the commercial management capability as a centre of excellence to the rest of the Client Services Team (CST) and to capabilities outside of the CST both during the sales process and during delivery

 

You will also have the opportunity to shape and continuously improve our approach to supplier compliance and commercial management. 

 

Your key responsibilities

• Own  supplier commercial management to drive cost savings and avoidance, and oversee the reporting of results achieved
• Oversee and support the supplier qualification and assurance processes
• Oversee and support ongoing monitoring of supplier risk management and compliance with contractual terms and EY policy and procedures
• Define and implement supplier risk management approach
• Support Account Managers with compliance and commercial expertise with suppliers and clients, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, EY policy and procurement regulations
• Oversee internal and external training and commercial /compliance upskilling of colleagues to drive improvements and maintain effective risk management
• Manage relationships with EY Legal, Quality and Risk Management, Independence and IT Assurance teams to agree the approach to compliance and risk matters
• Oversee and manage MI & Reporting for role and responsibilities both for internal stakeholders and clients
• Line Management of  analysts within the Commercial, Service Quality and Risk team
• Contribute to and support Continuous Improvement initiatives within the CST, where relevant
• Provide resilience and operational support for the other Managers in the  Commercial, Service Quality and Risk team and the Commercial, Service Quality and Risk Lead where appropriate

 

Skills and attributes for success

We are looking for supplier and commercial management individuals who have significant commercial and compliance experience who excel at client and supplier relationships.  For this role, team leadership and management experience and strong risk and negotiation experience are also a key requirement.

 

To qualify for the role you must have

• Compliance experience and  Procurement process knowledge
• Significant commercial and contracts experience
• Risk management experience
• Experience of managing and coaching others
• Strong commercial negotiation skills

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

• The ability to integrate with new teams quickly and build effective relationships at all levels
• Attention to detail with a commitment to high quality delivery
• Ability to identify areas of risk, carry out an effective review and consult appropriately within the firm
• Strong project management skills and ability to deliver financial metrics
• Ability to solve problems creatively and pragmatically
