Location - this role is based in Hammersmith 4 days per week

Overall Purpose of the Role

Responsible for supporting across Paid, Owned and Earned marketing within EMEA region.

With a primary focus on brand and campaign marketing, key areas of responsibility include: delivery of marketing and PR events; activation of synergy campaigns in partnership with other areas of The Walt Disney Company (TWDC); developing external partnership opportunities, and supporting in execution as well as supervising the roll out of customer retention initiatives.

Work alongside the performance marketing team to coordinate and share creative assets, ensuring consistent messaging across consumer touch points.

Areas of Responsibility

  • Work with the Senior Digital Marketing Manager, Brand and Retention and agency partners to support on the delivery of PR activations with the aim of maximising press coverage for shopDisney
  • Supervise product samples for marketing and press events, marketing photo shoots and campaign activations
  • Work with internal TWDC partners to maximise synergies and to establish and optimise opportunities that drive awareness of shopDisney and our product
  • Responsible for promotion set up and testing and marketing calendar management in partnership with wider ecommerce team and agencies. Take an active role in managing the marketing calendar and keep internal and external partners up to date with priority initiatives
  • Work with the Senior Digital Marketing Manager, Brand and Retention, to support in developing external partnership opportunities along with their execution. Responsible for providing campaign reports back to the business as and when required. Analyse data and provide recommendations to the business based on findings
  • Work with the Senior Digital Marketing Manager, Brand and Retention, to provide support on customer retention initiatives such as direct mail, in parcel leaflets, and ‘surprise and delight’ moments for existing customer
  • Support with raising purchase orders (POs) and efficiently managing invoices for marketing agency partners
  • Work alongside CRM Supervisor to ensure brand marketing campaigns are well represented in email
  • Work closely with the e-commerce team to maintain a high commercial knowledge of key best sellers, new product launches, promotions and general business activity to ensure appropriate marketing support
  • Build a strong working relationship with shopDisney North America teams in order to share learnings and identify areas for collaboration and efficiency
  • Responsible for accurately tracking and updating information for allocated budget

Experience and Professional Qualifications Required

  • Degree level education in marketing or a related field or equivalent work experience
  • Demonstrable experience of e-commerce marketing, preferably for a European multi-channel retailer
  • Proven experience of delivering multi-touchpoint marketing campaigns, essential
  • Proven experience of effectively collaboratively agency relationships, essential
  • Proven experience working with analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics, preferred
  • Proven experience tracking, updating and working within an allocated budget, essential
  • Proven experience of building effective relationships, championing change and collaboration across departments to achieve financial targets and joint goals

Skills Required

  • Ability to give both internal and agency creative teams clear direction and briefs, and manage feedback and approval process within relevant brand guidelines

  • Ability to understand and work within the legal guidelines provided by the legal department
  • Ability to analyse data and consumer insights, construct practical conclusions and implement recommendations to achieve business targets
  • Strong commercial acumen with good understanding of brand management
  • Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships at all levels of the business
  • Ability to successfully manage priorities and deadlines whilst adopting a flexible approach
  • Excellent written and spoken English for business use, essential
  • Strong copywriting skills, desirable
  • A strategic approach to problem solving and innovation
  • A good eye for digital, social and brick and mortar marketing
  • Computer literate including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Keynote
