Senior Consultant, Data Scientist, Financial Accounting Advisory Services

The opportunity

As a Data Scientist consultant, you will be responsible for implementing and participate in delivery of Analytics and AI solutions to our clients. Our consultants understand Analytics is bigger than just one tool set and are unfazed by the rapidly evolving world of ML, AI and Generative AI; all while having a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and high-quality standards.

 

Your key responsibilities

As a Senior Consultant, you will work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. This includes:

• Reviewing and understanding complex data sets to establish data quality and highlighting where data cleansing is required to remediate the data
• Translating business requirements into data models to manage data within the organization, using sound technical expertise
• Designing and implementing end-to-end reporting solutions, KPIs, from data integration to visualization and ready to use product that provides business with valuable insights
• Migrating data from one system to another using multiple sources, identifying and implementing storage requirements
• Resolving escalated design and implementation issues with limited complexity
• Familiar to train AI models with proper data
• Defining complex AI/ML models to the Analytical solution
• Can develop custom Generative AI solution
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into end-to-end generative AI solutions. Design and implement the necessary components to enable the deployment and utilization of these solutions
• Identify opportunities for using AI techniques to solve critical business challenges
• Propose development plans of ML and AI projects
• Stay on top of technical advancements in the generative AI field, with company time to further enhance your skills
• Advise others about best practices of AI and LLM development

Skills and attributes for success

• Experience in the development of algorithms leveraging R, Python, or SQL/NoSQL
• Sound experience in various data science toolkits and frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, Spark ML, TensorFlow, Keras or PyTorch)
• Ability to articulate and solve challenges of training and applying ML models on petabyte-scale data.
• Ability to translate a value case into a concrete AI approach.
• Data Visualization - Ability to design and implement informative reporting that translates data into business value, strong analytical skills
• Data Quality, Profiling and Cleansing - Capability to review (profile) a data set to establish its quality against a defined set of parameters and to highlight data where corrective action (cleansing) is required to remediate the data 
• Experience with AI capabilities of Cloud providers (Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform)

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Big Data Distributed Systems – Azure Synapse Analytics
• Data Visualization – SQL Server Reporting Services, Tableau, Spotfire, Power BI Report Server, Power BI Report Builder
• Experience in tools such as Scikit-learn, Spark ML, TensorFlow, Keras or PyTorch
• Proven experience in Deep Learning algorithms & their application to complex problems
• Interest in progress and inner workings of Generative AI
• B.S. in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Data Science, Econometrics, Engineering, IT, , or related field preferred
• Data Warehousing Platforms – Azure SQL Warehouse / Azure Synapse
• Advance in SQL
• Have done
• Programming Languages –Python (big plus), R (big plus)
• Workspace Management – Power BI App, Permissions, Pro vs Premium
