EY- Cyber Security (Cloud Security Architect) – Technology Consulting – Senior 
As part of our EY Cyber security, Technology Consulting team, your role will be to actively establish, maintain and strengthen internal and external relationships. You will be responsible for delivery and maintaining quality of services and deliverables on your engagements. You’ll also identify potential business opportunities for EY and GDS within existing engagements and escalate these as appropriate. Similarly, you’ll anticipate and identify risks within engagements and share any issues with senior members of the team.

 

The opportunity

We’re looking for Security Consultant / Senior Security Consultant to work on various cloud security engineering related projects for our customers across the globe. 
The Cloud Security team drives security by design agenda for various clients by designing secure cloud workloads, migrations, as well as developing bespoke solutions as per client’s business problems. This requires good knowledge of various CSPs like Azure, AWS, and GCP, as well as cyber security concepts. The team is required to work on various security architecture related requirements which address sector specific challenges. Delivering solutions using third party security tools will be a part of the delivery responsibilities. 

 

Job description: The Multi Cloud Data Protection Security team is part of Cloud Security team, within the Technology and Operational Risk organization.  The mission of Data Protection is to safely protect the Firm’s data, infrastructure, and systems in off-premises environments.  This includes teams that define strategy and architecture, manage product lifecycle and features, and build data security applications and services to secure the Firm’s journey to the cloud.  The successful candidate will be a senior individual contributor with a background in DevSecOps engineering and an interest in building large-scale, cutting-edge systems to solve complex problems in the cloud.
The Cloud team sets the vision and strategy for Client’s use of cloud security products and services. The team translates that strategy into a product roadmap and backlog and builds data protection software to deliver security capabilities that enable new business and reduce risk to the Firm.  

 

Specific role responsibilities include:

  • Work in or lead an agile development team to design and build new products and features
  • Ensure code is delivered on time and meets story acceptance criteria and definition of done
  • Deliver quality software as measured by coverage, complexity, defect escape, vulnerabilities, etc.
  • Create deployment and test automation to continuously deliver software releases
  • Build software systems that are observable, resilient, and recoverable
  • Engage proactively with customers to better understand their needs and obtain feedback
  • Coach more junior developers on software engineering practices
  • Contribute to maintaining a high level of engineering rigor within the team

 

Qualifications:
Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in Cloud Data Protection engineering
  • Should have experience and knowledge of PKI, CLM, Key Management and Secrets Management. 
  • Should have experience and knowledge of public cloud security practices and product offerings
  • Should have experience and knowledge of IAM technologies such as OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and SAML 2.0
  • Should have experience and knowledge of Kubernetes and/or other similar workload orchestration technologies
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major public cloud provider AWS or Azure or GCP
  • Hands-on development experience in anyone scripting languages. 
  • Hands-on experience with automation and CI/CD tools and practices.
  • Understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to be able to interact at all levels and be effective as part of a broader team
  • Ability to write documentation for all types of audiences, including documentation in code
  • Comfort with working with a geographically distributed team 

 

Skills Desired:

  • Application and DB programming experience and knowledge. 
  • Risk Management Framework
  • Strong Understanding of Change Management, Problem Management, Incident Management. 
  • Experience in anyone programming languages Java, Python, C etc.
  • Knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, and distributed databases 
  • Experience working with and understanding the needs of customers or clients
