Supply Chain Tech – Category Management and Retail Merchandising Senior Consultant
The opportunity

Most of your time will be spent supporting multiple clients’ teams and assisting teams and workstream owners. We will look to you to provide support of our clients who are dealing with complex business problems, in this ever-changing industry.
Your key responsibilities
You will focus on the evaluation, design, customization, and optimization of digital- and cloud-based solutions in support of major merchandising and retail processes. As a Senior Consultant, you will support a team with various EY groups to pursue and deliver digital engagements and deliver solutions that will bring our clients’ digital vision and strategy to life.
Skills and attributes for success
- Working in project teams through agreed-upon phases of project governance, requirements definition, vendor selection, risk analysis, customization, testing, training, and rollout of a client's project lifecycle
- Supporting team members in developing applicable methodologies, tools, approaches, points of view, thought leadership, and accelerators to differentiate EY in the Digital and Emerging Technology Consulting markets
- Ability to grow in your broad technical and functional knowledge of various key technology and business platforms
- Teaming with client technology professionals and third-party strategic alliances
- Developing long-term relationships and networks both internally and externally
- Interacting and communicating effectively with teammates, clients, stakeholders, and executives
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Functional experience with functional configuration of applications, to include configuration of layout files, label files, charts, tables, highlights and other common visualization functions within core planning applications
- Functional experience with documentation, such as Functional Specs, Business Requirements, Fit/Gap Analysis, Status Reporting, Meeting Documentation, etc.
- Experience within an industry or consulting role, with responsibilities having supported projects in supply chain management, with a focus toward category management, core merchandising, promotional management and merchandise financial planning, as a business domain
- A basic understanding of value chain synchronization and supply chain reinvention is beneficial.
- Experience with advanced planning tools, such as Blue Yonder (formerly JDA), OM Partners, o9 and/or Kinaxis preferred
- Bachelor's degree and 2 or more years of related work experience
- Subject matter knowledge in at least one of the following Supply Chain areas:
- Space planning
- Floor planning
- Planogram Generator
- Clustering
- Assortment planning
- Merchandise financial planning
- Promotional planning
- Basic experience with:
- Gathering business requirements
- Analyzing and transforming to application requirements
- Performing fit-gap analysis
- Leading functional design approval process
- Interacting with the development team to test and deliver the solution
- Assisting customers during UAT
- Preparing and reviewing documentation
- Flexibility and willingness to travel and a valid driver’s license
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Degree emphasis in computer science, IT, computer engineering, MIS, or mathematics
- Certifications and prior consulting experience
- Working experience with on-site and off-shore delivery model environment
