Amazon's Finance Operations, Accounting & Analysis (FOAA) team is a fast-paced, team-focused, dynamic environment and delivering great experiences for our customers is top priority. FOAA is seeking a Finance Analyst to support our Indian Business Team

This role supports accounting function related to reconciliation, analysis and follow up for closure of open items. The role supports daily reconciliation of India timely analysis follow up on open items and timely and accurate reporting of bad debt/cash shortfall numbers. Further, this role also includes month end reporting.

As Amazon has been growing rapidly Year-over-Year, this position will also help drive process changes and improvements to support the growing needs of the Company.

The role supports daily reconciliation with timely analysis and follow up on open items. Further, this role also supports month end reporting and accounting including posting of journal entries.
This position will also help drive process changes and improvements to support the growing needs of the Company. The role holder should also understand the relevant accounting principles and effectively communicate findings to peers and business partners. The role holder will need to works towards identifying and executing projects and process improvements to enhance efficiency



Key job responsibilities
1. The role holder’s key responsibility is to timely complete accurate reconciliations (daily and monthly) and its further review and approvals from supervisor.
a. The role holder works with key stakeholder/AMZL finance partners for reconciliation, accounting and reporting activities.
b. Monitor, investigate and resolve daily/monthly reconciliations. Close open items and work cordially with respective POCs in clearing recons.
c. Assist Leads and Managers in managing daily operations.
d. Identify gaps in process and work with stakeholders and management to streamline the process.
e. The role requires to focus on invent and simplify by identifying opportunities to improve, standardize and automate various processes and regular reporting.

2. The role expects delivering key insights with minimal guidance from stakeholders or managers, demonstrate ownership by taking issues to closure working in partnership with different business teams.

3.The role requires strong dive deep skills, managing ambiguous new business use cases and also involves sharing knowledge/best practices with the team to upskill them.

4. Maintain SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) relevant to process and update changes regularly.

5. Show bias for action, discerning between urgent and non-urgent issues. Make conscious decisions every day with your time management to yield a greater return on investment of your time, attention, and energy.



About the team
FOAA (Finance Operations Accounting and Analysis) is a finance department that manages the accounting, reporting and analysis work for global finance teams in Amazon.
FOAA India Business Team (IBT) consists of Amazon India wireless exclusive seller investment programs, Collect/Pay on Delivery and MENA region Souq Collect on Delivery reconciliations. IN Nodal accounts (A.in, Login & Pay with Amazon (now PAPG)), India Payment Gateway and Online Payment gateway for international sellers), Amazon Pay wallet, Export By Amazon. This team is responsible for regulatory reporting, accounting, analysis, operations reconciliations and audit (concurrent & statutory) support related activities for IN marketplace region.

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting and commerce (B. Com)
- Knowledge of Excel at an advanced level
- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications

Preferred Qualifications:

- 2+ years of finance operations/shared services, accounts payable, account receivable (collections) or general ledger experience
