Job Description

Amazon’s People Engine team is seeking a passionate, results-oriented, and inventive Sr. Product Manager, Technical to build new HR system for all Amazonians around the globe!

The Amazon People Engine team owns products which support HR business initiatives to continuously improve the user experience of Amazonians throughout the world. In this position, you will work with product managers, developers and analysts to build complex integrated solutions to meet the needs of our global workforce.

Key job responsibilities
• Define and deliver the long-term vision and creative, high quality product roadmaps based on customer research and business needs
• Work closely with engineering to build solutions that scale globally based on anticipated growth
• Break down large, complex projects into product milestone releases — develop detailed business requirements, user stories, and product specifications for each planned release
• Make hard, high-judgment trade-offs between performance, features, and speed-to-market, while mitigating risks
• Unblock and expedite multiple engineering teams
• Lead multiple initiatives in various stages of the lifecycle - from ideation to development to launch
• Build and improve a working relationship with your partners and stakeholders
• Contribute to and develop the team's processes/mechanisms
• Regularly participate in stand-ups, design reviews and other meetings with engineers, and contribute to the discussion to ensure a high quality bar

Finally – must have an interest and passion around the employee experience, improving the workplace, and driving internal change that enables employees to deliver for customers more effectively. This is a role for someone who wants to bring their product and technical expertise to a brand new space with lots of opportunity for innovation.

Basic Qualifications:

- 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

Preferred Qualifications:

- 5+ years of end to end product delivery experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $121,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
