Job Description

Hybrid, reporting to a specific location where work needs to be performed / collaboration should happen (regardless this location is within a hub) and without regard to where a candidate lives (some employees may end up hybrid who live more than 50 miles away but where business needs dictate them to be onsite at a specific location three days per week).

  • This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to GM Global Technical Center- Cole Engineering Center Podium three times per week, at minimum

What You’ll be Part of:

Digital Services & Experiences (DSX) is a division within General Motors’ Software organization tasked with ensuring our customers enjoy world class experiences inside and adjacent to their vehicles. We own the go-to-market approach as part of the enterprise shift to deliver ongoing digital experiences to our customers. The Revenue Strategy team specifically is tasked with ensuring revenue growth is future proofed, imagining how things could be rather than the current landscape. In the near term, this team will instill confidence in our long term plans, continuously questioning whether we’re measuring the right things to earn customers for life. The Revenue Strategy team is small with an outsized impact on enterprise revenue and profitability. In partnership with Product, Design, and CX, we have the opportunity to bring best in class experiences to millions of customers around the globe.

Some of what you’ll do:

  • Obsessively run due diligence on industry, macro, and nascent market trends, always ready to educate the organization on a variety of topics
  • Be the go-to-person for how we talk about our GM’s digital business to internal/external audiences
  • Identify and quantify opportunities (and risks) across our go-to-market plans of record, then use your influence to adjust the plan
  • Create, quantify, and prioritize new growth tactics, ensuring they’re appropriately fed into our business
  • Align Software & Services organization around long-term revenue plan, with emphasis on internal/external storytelling

Some of what will help you be successful:

  • Track record of influencing without authority
  • History of following trends, identified identifying and sizing of an opportunity, and ultimately crafting a solution with a compelling business case which found its way to the market
  • Exhibited capacity to fall short, be wrong, fail, and apply learnings to future endeavors
  • Developed expertise at developing and maintaining a financial model, business case, or similar
  • Proven ability to positively influence a product, either directly or through partnering with stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to drive business outcomes in ambiguous, resource-constrained environments
