Salesforce Inc. seeks Security Engineer, Vulnerability Response & Intelligence in San Francisco, CA:

Job Duties: Implement and maintain enterprise-wide vulnerability management infrastructure and platform. Perform system vulnerability assessments and remediation, including the assessment/deployment of vendor security updates. Provide technical expertise to various engineering teams across Salesforce in terms of vulnerability remediation. Perform security incident response in coordination with other teams across the company and/or externally as required. Provide vulnerability scanning and guidance, false-positive validation, compliance scanning, and policy creation using Salesforce vulnerability scanning tools. Assist in technical authority, vision, documentation of operational procedures, and guidance to ensure the continued evolution of the Threat and Vulnerability Management program. Write custom scripts to introduce automation and reduce the need for human intervention. ^HQ address additionally encompasses the following Salesforce locations in San Francisco: 350 Mission Street, 415 Mission Street, and 50 Fremont Street. The permanent position may be offered at any of these locations in San Francisco. Telecommuting is an option. 

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and one (1) year of experience in the field of software engineering/program analysis or one (1) year of experience in the job offered.

 

A related technical degree required (Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering (any field)).

Special Skill Requirements: (1) Information Security Tool Operation (2) Vulnerability False Positive Assessment and Validation; (3) Vulnerability Risk Assessment and Analysis; (4) Secure Programming; (5) Security Tool Development; (6) Security Operations Automation (via customized Python scripts); (7) Penetration Testing; (8) Security remediation assistance/expertise; (9) Network Security; (10) Public Cloud Multi-Substrate Environment Security. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Education, experience and criminal background checks will be conducted. Telecommuting is an option. 

Salary: $127,442.00 - $183,900.00 per annum.
