NOTE: This is initially an 8-month FTC and requires you to be in the office 4 days per week.

The Content Marketing Manager will be responsible for the development and roll-out of EMEA regional content marketing campaigns for General Entertainment content and EMEA Originals on Disney+. The focus, and measurement of success, is to drive content awareness, customer engagement and increase acquisition of Disney+ as measured primarily via first streams.

This role will also be responsible for the marketing strategy and positioning of diverse, new original series and creating the best creative suite of assets to optimise the appeal to global audiences both on & off our platform, regardless of whether the title will receive a paid campaign.

The individual will report directly to the EMEA Senior Content Marketing Manager and work closely with the rest of the content marketing team. They will need to co-ordinate planning with peers and will be expected to build excellent relationships with counterparts across the London office, with the US teams and be a key point of contact for local market colleagues wherever content marketing is concerned.

The Opportunity & Responsibilities

  • Deliver industry leading, insight driven, innovative, differentiated & effective content campaigns to markets for local amplification and activation.

  • Work with the Snr Content Marketing Manager on setting campaign objectives, allocating budget, compiling the media brief/strategy and execution for key new Disney+ launches.

  • Work closely with the internal creative team and agencies on the creative development, production and execution of content campaigns and support the Senior Content Marketing with the content planning milestones for campaign up to and including the creative wall walk and post campaign analysis.

  • Work closely with Publicis Imagine on developing and delivering regional media guidelines for each new launch.

  • Share local market amplification of regional campaigns for potential share and reapply and receive feedback to create recommendations on how to improve regional content campaign toolkits for the future.

  • Detailed campaign budget management, tracking purchase orders, managing vendors, and supporting the Senior Content Marketing Manager with quarterly financial planning.

  • Track key stakeholders on the delivery and approval of assets on time so that the Content Marketing Director can escalate and / or hold the stakeholders to account.

  • Create EMEA templates for market feedback and collate regional content marketing summary on a monthly and weekly basis for regional and US reporting.

  • Become a key point of contact for local marketing content campaign requirements on a day-to-day basis.

  • Work closely with Performance Marketing, Social Media, PR and communications and the EMEA brand team to ensure regional campaign strategies and plans are aligned and integrated.

  • Understand the direct competitive environment from a content perspective (TV, SVOD, Theatrical), and applying analysis and insights to gain competitive advantage.

  • Work closely with our research team and manage campaign asset testing process with Kantar.

  • Represent the content management team within regional XLOB meetings as required and recommend opportunities which will help enhance the Disney+ brand and accelerate growth.

  • Lead and mentor the Content Marketing Supervisor and Coordinator to ensure team is motivated, enthused, and excited.

  • Manage the relationship with global operations team and ensure they have visibility on all upcoming projects.

  • Role will help facilitate assets required at TV industry events and activities i.e. London Film Festival, Edinburgh Festival, Content London etc.

  • Attend focus groups and relevant training as required.

The Experience We Require From You

  • Experience with Marketing content within the Entertainment industry (preferably SVOD)

  • Experienced in developing and deploying content campaigns and marketing toolkits at a regional level from scratch to local market counterparts

  • EMEA regional experience including understanding market environment, communications and cultural nuances

  • Ability to oversee and manage high impact, large budget end to end marketing campaigns across multiple touchpoints and tactical content campaigns which mainly rely on owned and earned performance and digital channels

  • Media, creative agency and production team experience including writing inspirational briefs

  • Budget management experience

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills

  • Strong presentation and communication skills
