Job Description

Work Arrangement:

Hybrid: The position does not require an employee to be onsite full-time to perform most effectively. The employee's role enables them to work at a GM facility, or off-site as frequently as needed or desired.

The Role:

Collaborating with the National Sales & Marketing Manager GM Parts, the Data Insights Marketing Specialist, CCA will assist the sales and marketing teams to develop and support the execution of marketing programs! You will also develop analysis to identifying key trends and data insights to identify opportunities to increase sales and profitability.

A strong analytic skill set is required for this position. This outstanding cross-functional opportunity will provide the opportunity to develop and implement a data-driven strategy! Additionally, you will have the opportunity to regularly interact with and present to senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the GM Parts team with reporting, analytics, and process improvement initiatives to help facilitate operational excellence within Customer Care & Aftersales

  • Support analytics and reporting for our B2B eCommerce platforms (RepairLink and CollisionLink) and identify opportunities to increase sales

  • Develop and implement management dashboards

  • Build system tools to streamline/automate reporting, processes, and analysis

  • Identify trends and opportunities through data mining

    Required Qualifications:

    • Pursuit of a Bachelor's degree (2nd, 3rd, and 4th year students) or Master's degree in one of the following areas: Engineering, Mathematics, Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering

    • Able to work fulltime, 40 hours per week in Canada, and for 8-month term (2 consecutive semesters) starting May 2024

    • Highly developed analytical skills

    • Knowledge of programming (Python and SQL preferred)

    • Strong willingness to self-learn and develop new skills

    • Outstanding leadership, interpersonal, and relationship management skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with varying levels of the organization

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distill complex subjects to a wider audience

    • Evidence of strong character with integrity, honesty, accountability, and trust

    • Consistently demonstrates innovative thinking that is customer-centric

    • Excellent project management skills and the proven track record to manage numerous projects at the same time

    • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

    What will give you a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):

    • Fundamental digital literacy including advanced knowledge of Microsoft products with emphasis on Excel, Access, and Power BI

    • Completed courses in statistics and/or machine learning

    • Database/system skills (Hadoop, Databricks, Python, and Oracle)
