Job Description

  • Primary responsibility as AVD Program Quality Manager is plan and execute Program Quality Plan elements during AVD phase of program development, which includes :
    • Provide quality metrics, insights and lessons learned as inputs to iVOC (Integrated Voice of Customer) process, leveraging also Program Profile and Market Research information in addition to quality data;
    • Collaborate with Vehicle Homeroom Program Quality Manager to draft initial PQRR (Program Quality Readiness Review) plan, supporting execution and coordination of initial quality gate reviews (e.g. PFI for GVDP 5.x, or STA for GVDP 7.0);
    • Provide China inputs (competitive set, VOC quality data such as Compass or JD Power APEAL) that will be included in initial CVQEs (Customer Vehicle Quality Evaluation) executed to programs in AVD phase (e.g. CRTS – Customer Requirements Target Setting, pre-VPI Design evaluation);
    • Provide China Customer Specific Requirements (CSR-Country Specific Requirements) that will be considered and driven by Homeroom Program team;
    • Develop Initial Program Quality Target setting proposal for China market, including Warranty IPTV 12MIS, Compass PPH and GCA as minimum requirements;
    • Collaborate with Global Quality AVD team providing inputs and strategic ideas for China market (e.g. BEV Customer Experience global initiative).
    • Ensure smooth transition of program execution from AVD phase to Joint Venture Program Quality Manager;

  • Secondary responsibility is to support Homeroom Program Quality Manager in development of initial Program Quality Plan elements, which includes:
  • Customer Satisfaction scorecard;
  • CTF (Captured Test Fleet) initial plan (e.g. quantity of vehicles, mileage accumulation glidepath);
    • Warranty Risk Assessment and New Technology Risk Mitigation plan;
    • GCA Frontloading risk assessment;

Additional Job Description

  • Knowledge:

Well-developed automotive industry experience in Engineering, Quality, Service or Manufacturing related fields;

Experience in Global Vehicle Development Process (GVDP);

Knowledge of quality systems, analysis and statistical techniques, market research and information (IT) systems.

  • Skills: 

Good presentation and communication skills (verbal & written).

Ability to work within cross-functional teams to achieve program quality goals, ability to operate globally with regional counterparts to execute programs from global architectures, ability to obtain and provide data in a timely manner to drive quality improvements;

Demonstrated ability to find best fit solutions to reconcile conflicts between GMNA (Head Quarters) and JV partners, in order to implement Global initiatives and best practices;

  • Experience:

Vehicle Development, Quality Engineering, Product Engineering.

  • Education: 

Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Master’s Degree in Engineering.

  • Competencies:

Ability to process information from variety of sources to make decisions;
