Job Description

Hybrid, reporting to a specific location where work needs to be performed / collaboration should happen (regardless this location is within a hub) and without regard to where a candidate lives (some employees may end up hybrid who live more than 50 miles away but where business needs dictate them to be onsite at a specific location three days per week).

  • This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to GM Global Technical Center- Cole Engineering Center Podium three times per week, at minimum

ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION

The Digital Services & Experiences (DSX) was created to build on over 25 years of OnStar connected services, evolving the standard of what the vehicle experience can be, by delivering world class digital products and services. This division is strategically positioned to lead from the front as GM continues its growth plans. Within the DSX, the Go-To-Market (GTM) Execution team is focused on customer channel readiness for executing growth initiatives, ensuring quality execution and customer experiences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for executing key integrated DSX Sales & Marketing channel readiness to support business results. Lead and manage key initiatives to ensure it meets all scope and milestones for high quality executions.

Scope Management

  • Define, evaluate, align, verify the project scope with key stakeholders
  • Manage changes to scope to keep projects on track and identify trade-offs when necessary
  • Identify relevant stakeholders and empower team for fast decision-making and pivots
  • Manage multiple initiatives in a highly dynamic environment

Channel Readiness Management

  • Develop, manage, execute detailed integrated plans within SAFe agile process
  • Learn SAFe concepts and incorporate into activities
  • Ensure channel readiness align with agile product program timing.
  • Lead weekly cross-functional meetings ensuring team members are aligned.
  • Be the central point of contact for channel readiness activities
  • Coordinate impact assessment across all channels and stakeholders
  • Identify dependencies, interdependencies, and roadblocks and develop action plans
  • Establish milestones, tasks and deliverables with clear ownership
  • Maintain schedule, adjust as required and deliver with quality and attention to detail.
  • Look for ways to improve and promote process and executional quality
  • Understand program workstreams to be able to assist in identification of issues and risks
  • Apply feedback to improve team performance; Monitor own work to ensure quality
  • Report key results/ KPI, insights, learnings during and post execution to key stakeholders
  • Set clear expectations, manage team performance, and adhere to meeting norms

Risk Management

  • Integrate project risks to scope, schedule, cost, or quality
  • Identify, coordinate, monitor risk mitigation plan as they arise
  • Create and manage contingency planning and escalate as needed
  • Lead change management activities as they arise fostering cross-team collaboration

Communications Management

  • Facilitate channel Go-to-market weekly meetings
  • Develop, manage, communicate integrated plans
  • Continuously monitor and report on project status
  • Prepare presentations and effectively communicate at all levels – from peers to leadership
  • Develop appropriate Dealer/ Advisor communications content
  • Manage others through influence to effectively achieve outcomes
  • Effectively present, negotiate, collaborate - regardless of organizational structure or hierarchy.

Additional Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in business, Sales & Marketing, Communications, or applicable professional experience (5+ years min)
  • High level of diverse marketing and channel management experiences
  • Passion for developing customer focused product solutions
  • Working level knowledge/experience in GDP and product launches
  • Strong oral and written communication, and presentation skills in a variety of settings
  • Strong leadership and initiative skills
  • Ability to make quick decisions with ambiguous data
  • Ability to make effective trade-off decisions and can negotiate skillfully in tough situations
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
  • Ability to maintain effectiveness in fast-paced, changing environment
  • Ability to break down barriers and quickly achieve high impact progress
  • Ability to work well in a complex team environment
  • Ability to develop, lead and motivate teams
  • Ability to identify issues/opportunities and develop solutions/recommendations
  • Manage multiple assignments utilizing highly efficient time management skills
