Job Description

Work Arrangement:

Hybrid: The position does not require an employee to be onsite full-time to perform most effectively. The employee's role enables them to work at a GM facility, or off-site as frequently as needed or desired.

The Role:

The Product Marketing – Analytics and Process Specialist, CCA will assist the Product Program Development team to develop and support the execution of pricing, analysis, and process improvement initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who possesses strong analytical and system skills, and is interested applying their findings and insights in real-life marketing strategy and implementation!

You will also have the opportunity to work in a highly cross-functional and integrated sales and marketing environment with regular interaction with subject matter experts and the leadership team as well.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct product pricing analysis and make pricing recommendation under guidance of Product Managers

  • Build new tool for competitive information process and perform analysis

  • Support management and customer reporting, as well as ad hoc sales analysis

  • Improve product marketing process efficiency

  • Build system tools to streamline/automate reporting, process, or analysis

  • Perform product portfolio project (depending on skill and interest)

    Additional Job Description

    Required Qualifications:

    • Pursuit of a Bachelor's degree (2nd, 3rd, and 4th year students) or Master's degree in one of the following areas: Marketing, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Software Engineering

    • Able to work fulltime, 40 hours per week in Canada, and for 8-month term (2 consecutive semesters) starting May 2024 

    • Highly developed analytical skills

    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products with a focus on Excel

    • Knowledge of programming (ex. Python, SQL, etc)

    • Willingness to self-learn and develop new skills

    • Interest in applying analytical insights to marketing strategy and achieving results

    • Comfortable with database and data systems

    • Excellent written and verbal communication within a team environment

    • High level of integrity

    • Innovative thinking that is customer-centric

    • Strong time management, project management, and problem-solving skills

    What will give you a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):

    • Knowledge/experience with SQL, Access, SharePoint, and PowerBI

    • Programming/database/system skills – Python, R, Oracle, etc

    • Experience in process digitization, web-scraping. or similar technology

    • Completed courses in statistics
