Job Description

The Business Analytics Specialist role presents a rare opportunity for the ideal candidate to fully immerse in sales and marketing operations, utilizing their exceptional analytical and practical data skills to deliver impactful business outcomes.  This position will be within the Customer Care and Aftersales organization and will involve close collaboration with marketing and product managers, analysts, and other subject matter experts in a highly cross-functional and integrated sales and marketing environment. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with strong analytical skillsets and experience in business intelligence and machine learning, who are interested in working on a wide range of real-life marketing initiatives and applying their findings to achieve tangible results.

Hybrid: - Position does not require an employee to be on-site full-time but the general expectation is that the employee be onsite an average of three (3) days each week to Oshawa (OEC) or Markham (MEC) office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute, streamline, automate reporting and visualizations for marketing program, performance tracking, and decision-making processes

  • Generate actionable insights from analysis to identify sales opportunities and support sales, marketing, pricing, product management, warranty, and other aftersales operations

  • Lead/support advanced analytics and machine learning projects

  • Lead/support process improvement and digitization initiatives

  • Lead/assist in building and sustaining data management processes and strategies

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Relevant education and experience in business intelligence, analytics, machine learning, and related areas. Background can be in but not limited to: marketing, finance, engineering, operations, mathematics, data analytics, computer science, software engineering

  • Highly developed and proven analytical skills

  • Advanced knowledge and experience with:

    • SQL and databases

    • Data visualization tools e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, etc.

    • Programming Language e.g. Python, R, VBA

    • Microsoft Office products: Excel, Access

  • Highly adaptable with strong willingness to self-learn and develop new skills

  • Interest in applying analytical insights to marketing strategy and achieving results

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 year relevant experience

  • Experience with Oracle, PowerBI, Python, Sharepoint

  • Experience in big data, machine learning projects, process digitization and automation

  • Completed courses in Statistics
