Job Description

Provide excellent customer service to GM employees by managing the global company vehicle inventory in the most efficient cost effective way. Perform business process functions necessary for processing GM company vehicles Review and understand Company Vehicle Operations, programs, policies and procedures. Good computer skills; Microsoft Office software with proficiency using Excel and MS Project. Possess good interpersonal and communication skills to work with all business partners at all levels. High level skill set to prioritize, organize, balance, and execute multiple tasks requiring good decision-making. Possess the skills and flexibility to handle multiple requests in a dynamic environment. Possess integrity to interact with all levels of employees and management.

Company Vehicle Operations (CVO)  

Position: Company Vehicle Operations (CVO) Safe Driving Lead 

Description 

Responsible for leading the end-to-end vehicle accident process including oversight of company vehicle policy and insurance. Responsible for supporting the development and implementation of safe driving policies and programs and overseeing driver training and education, monitoring compliance with safe driving practices, and collaborating with other departments to promote a culture of safe driving.  

Major Responsibilities 

  • Manage end to end vehicle accident/incident process 

  • Oversee vehicle insurance policy and contract 

  • Support the administration of policy violations and claims tracking 

  • Interface with key stakeholders including but not limited to Legal, Risk Management, HR Policy, Communications, Business Unit Leaders, and strategic vendors  

  • Collaborate with GM Employee Relations Investigations, Legal and HR Policy on company vehicle related cases and driver eligibility  

  • Administer and support company vehicle license plate process including registration, auction, record keeping and usage 

  • Develop driver communications and related materials for CVO users 

  • Prepare and present awareness training regarding safe driving policy and process 

  • Coordinate tickets and tolls processing 

  • Required to work flexible hours 

 

Qualifications 

 

Required Skills: 

 

  • Experience with China traffic law and auto insurance claims process  

  • Knowledge of vehicle accident process  

  • Strong analytical ability for problem solving 

  • Excellent communication skills  

  • High level of interpersonal skills – ability to work well with others   

  • Proficient in PC applications including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint 

  • Ability to document current business processes and recommend/implement efficiency and effectiveness improvements 

Preferred Skills: 

  • 1-3 years experience dealing with vehicle incidents 

  • Intermediate English Language Skills (oral and written) 

  • Understanding of Fleet management and general automotive knowledge 

  • Ability to learn new systems including SAP, vehicle ordering and logistic systems 

 

Education and Training: 

  • Undergraduate Degree required
