Job Description

Responsibilities: 

  • Validation strategy and planning:
    • Develop validation strategies for new products and systems in collaboration with stakeholders and engineering teams
    • Create comprehensive validation plans that outline the scope, objectives, and testing approach for the project
    • Identify and prioritize critical test cases and scenarios for validation activities
  • Team leadership:
    • Lead and mentor a team of validation engineers, providing guidance, support, and technical expertise
    • Delegate tasks, set clear goals, and ensure the team's efficient execution of validation activities
    • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment to promote continuous improvement
  • Test Design and Execution:
    • Design and develop validation test cases and protocols based on system requirements and specifications
    • Oversee the execution of test cases, ensuring adherence to established protocols and standards
    • Investigate and troubleshoot any issues or anomalies that arise during testing
  • Validation Documentation:
    • Maintain detailed documentation of validation activities, test results, and any deviations encountered
    • Prepare validation reports summarizing the test outcomes and highlighting the system's compliance with requirements
  • Cross-functional collaboration:
    • Collaborate with system design and development teams to ensure proper understanding of system requirements and functionalities
    • Work closely with software, hardware, and firmware teams to coordinate integrated system validation efforts
    • Engage with quality assurance teams to align validation processes with overall quality management
  • Continuous improvement:
    • Identify opportunities to enhance validation processes, methodologies, and tools for increased efficiency and accuracy
    • Stay updated with industry best practices and advancements in validation techniques
  • Compliance and Standards:
    • Ensure the validation process aligns with relevant industry standards, regulations, and company guidelines
    • Participate in audits and regulatory assessments related to system validation

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related fields
  • Proven experience (typically 3+ years) in system validation, with at least 1 year in a leadership or management capacity
  • Strong understanding of system validation methodologies, processes, and best practices
  • Familiarity with hardware and software validation tools and techniques
  • Experience in test case design, execution, and analysis
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Attention to detail and a quality-oriented mindset
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations relevant to system validation
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English

Desired Skills:

  • 3+ years’ experience in vehicle component and subsystem/system validation
  • 3+ years’ experience in Active Safety feature validation
  • Automotive safety critical electronics experience
  • Vehicle performance integration experience
  • Understanding of the use of complex vehicle instrumentation and data logging
  • Understanding of vehicle communications protocols such as CAN and Ethernet
  • Knowledge of Vehicle Spy, MicroAutobox, ETAS INCA
  • Understanding of the capability of HIL test methods
  • DFSS Certification
