The opportunity

 

EY is looking for strong profiles to play one of the following roles within our rapidly expanding Technology Consulting team. The role will be based in Jordan and will serve MENA clients both remotely and onsite across different MENA locations and mainly GCC countries:

 

  • EA Enterprise Architecture profiles (Business, Data, Applications)
  • IT strategy, trends, operating model, organization structure, IT PMO
  • Cloud architecture and cloud migration
  • IT services management and governance (ITSM, COBIT, etc.)

 

Key Responsibilities

 

General – All Domains

 

  • Build and maintain appropriate relationships at client; leverage relationships to effectively execute work
  • Connect the right EY team members to key client contacts
  • Maintain open and proactive communication
  • Experience in account and engagement management
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; writing, publishing, and conference-level presentation skills a plus
  • Proven success in leading and developing a team of staff/senior consulting professionals
  • Involvement driving business development efforts. Experience with the end-to-end RFP process (RFP, Response, Proposal, Client Presentation, SOW and Execution) and understanding of client procurement processes. Experience supervising proposal-writing and presenting during RFP process
  • Strong communication skills, especially around breaking down complex structures into digestible and relevant points for a diverse set of clients and colleagues, at all levels
  • Ability to formulate and articulate questions to facilitate a quick understanding of a client’s business
  • Aptitude and desire to learn new technologies and willingness to learn how to configure them
  • Strong intellectual abilities and rigor balanced with practical sense of what works and what does not
  • Strive to lead themselves, their teams, and their communities, and who can foster effective teamwork to drive results
  • Foster an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment. Play an active role in counselling and mentoring junior consultants within the organization

  • Analyze trends/long-term plans and identify the financial implications of various business strategies
  • Develop a wide and deep network across client organizations and professional bodies, developing lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with key stakeholders
  • Deliver an exceptional client experience across all engagements: leverage the account management framework to build constructive dialogue with key stakeholders, maintain the right level relationships at clients, understand their business agenda, anticipate their needs and resolve critical client issues
  • Develop account plans and coordinates delivery of a range of service offerings, building trust by mobilizing the right resources and facilitating consistent quality
  • Drive opportunities to expand client services based on current offerings and client feedback, negotiate significant changes in scope of deliverables, and resolve disagreements around project outcomes
  • Take the lead in forecasting budget issues and recommending appropriate responses
  • Be a trusted advisor on 'innovation' with ability to frame key business and technology trends within the context of the client's objectives. Ability to identify the potential implications and impacts of the associated trends.
  • Leverage EY’s global network, and leverage the cross-functional expertise to develop relevant enterprise architecture insights
  • Interact with CXO level stakeholders and senior management levels of client organizations
  • Implement the business development and sales plan as well as contribute to setting the strategic direction for the enterprise architecture practice 
  • Develop thought leadership and define approaches to provide structured solutions to complex technology strategy problems of clients, by recombining existing methodologies and teams
  • Managing engagement teams and providing technical leadership in the assessment, design, and management of successful IT transformation engagements in collaboration with our clients. They should provide high quality client services by directing daily progress of engagement work, informing EY leadership of engagement status, and managing staff performance

 

Domain Specific - Enterprise Architecture

 

  • Understanding the business strategy & vision and translating them into enterprise-wide technology vision & strategy in alignment with strategic priorities for growth, customer experience, efficiency etc. 
  • Assess the impact of the business strategy on the architecture landscape, including organization, information and infrastructure and applications
  • Create business and enterprise architecture models that help clients to realize their strategy & vision with technology. Lead the creation of blueprints and roadmaps for complex and large technology environments
  • Ability to analyze client’s (IT) Operating Model including the organization structure, processes and governance while developing recommendations and/or creating actionable roadmaps
  • Significant experience in 1) developing architecture standards, principles, and guidelines for the enterprise; 2) governing enterprise-wide portfolio of systems / platforms as part of “Architecture Review Board’ and 3) function as guardian of the strategy and architecture to make sure that new initiatives comply with the set guidelines
  • Analyzing application portfolios, identifying dependencies and common infrastructure platform components, and assessing migration feasibility. Soliciting feedback from enterprise customers and influencing future iterations of our enterprise platform. Assisting with cost/benefit modelling and creating compelling business cases/total cost of ownership studies for migration.
  • Solid experience in guiding our clients through large, enterprise-wide transformation to implement their strategies and enterprise architecture. Experience working with IT leadership (e.g., CIO, IT Director) and business leadership (e.g., CFO, COO, BU leader, etc.) to help shape and guide the IT strategic and improvement agenda.

 

Domain Specific - Enterprise Architecture - Technical skills requirements

 

  • 3-5 years of experience specializing in enterprise architecture, technology architecture, solution architecture and standards.
  • TOGAF/ZACHMAN or equivalent certification
  • Knowledge of Enterprise architecture tools such as Aris, Alfabet
  • Develop reference architectures and technology blueprints based on business requirements and non-functional requirements
  • Ability to identify technology standardization opportunities, specify options, weigh implementation complexities and risks to make the right technical decision.
  • Experience with at least one Cloud Based Platform (Cloud Foundry, Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure).
  • Experience architecting and implementing using Microservices, Containerization technologies (Docker etc)
  • Experience guiding, designing, and assisting in implementing Service Oriented Architecture.
  • Experience with and good understanding of Business Process Management, Business Rules Management Systems, Complex Event Processing systems.
  • Understanding of systems infrastructure and various approaches to load balancing and fault tolerance.
  • Experience in producing solution architecture diagrams, application interaction diagrams, solution blueprints, roadmaps, etc.

 

Domain Specific – IT Strategy / PMO

 

  • Support waterfall and agile project management approaches/methodologies
  • Monitor and track milestones and schedules; inclusive of status, dependencies, achievements, and risks/issues
  • Organize and conduct escalation, blocker removal, and status meetings
  • Uncover, triage, and highlight impediments impacting an on-time project completion
  • Prepare content for progress reporting at different levels, project management and executive levels
  • Coordinate across project stakeholders and assist with internal and external communication
  • Capture and maintain project management documentation
  • Capture, track, monitor, and maintain estimates for project members utilization hours (internal/external)
  • Organize and execute agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, demos, retrospectives or equivalent as relevant to the project delivery methodology
  • Potential certifications include:  PMP, Agile, LEAN Six Sigma, Prosci, CBPA
  • Project deliverables custodianship including Project documentation, Labor estimates, Project/sprint plans, Milestone status and updates, Quarterly status review content, Action tracking, Risk and issue tracking, Sprint demo documentation, and Retrospective documentation

 

Domain Specific – IT Strategy / PMO - Technical skills requirements

 

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in relevant domain; Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Information Systems or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of related work experience leading business functions in at least one of the following areas: Business or technology consulting, transformation/PMO/EPMO design, target, process design and re-engineering, maturity assessment, capability roadmap development, strategy, and operations, change management, end-to-end technology implementation, data framework and automation & digital design and enablement.

 

Domain Specific – Cloud architecture and cloud migration

 

  • Serve as subject matter expert on cloud strategies and cloud solution implementation projects
  • Lead the delivery of implementing and maintaining complex cloud solutions (incl. public cloud offerings – AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.)
  • Managed or supported the management of large and complex cloud projects end-to-end from inception and requirement to operations/support
  • Deep knowledge of assessing legacy applications to migrate to optimal cloud solutions based on deep analysis and provide recommendations for leading practices for migration approach
  • Provide advice on which applications or workloads are suitable for running in the cloud rather than on-premises
  • Experience in cloud solutions across IaaS and PaaS services including compute, storage, networking, data, analytics, DevOps, and cloud migration & modernization related services
  • Experience of hybrid cloud and private cloud, cloud architecture and design patterns. Overall knowledge of OS, middleware, databases, ESB, Integration, APIs, Web services, etc.
  • Deep knowledge of migrating conventional applications/ systems to the cloud
  • Deep knowledge of selecting and assessing cloud solutions that meet the requirements
  • Deep knowledge of most used cloud services for common cloud solutions such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.
  • Knowledge of switching on-premises infrastructure to a cloud
  • Knowledge of deploying IaaS, PaaS, or SaaS Cloud solutions
  • Knowledge of leading security measures/ controls for cloud-based solutions
  • Apply knowledge and experience to shape services to clients and present project outputs

 

Domain Specific – Cloud architecture and cloud migration - Technical skills requirements

 

  • Completed technical higher education in the field of computer engineering, computer science, electronics, information technology, and relevant industry Certification on Public Cloud/ Private Cloud Key responsibilities
  • 3-5 years of experience working in a client facing role for a leading consulting or professional services company in delivery of large-scale complex cloud projects for different cloud solutions
  • Industry experience of commonly used cloud solutions (AWS/AZURE/Google cloud/Etc.)
  • Experience in agile development methodologies like SCRUM
  • Experience working on CMMI / Agile / SAFE methodologies
  • Excellent Project management experience (project scheduling, resource management, budgeting, reporting, etc.)

Domain Specific - IT services management and governance

 

  • Serve as subject matter expert on IT governance, service management and policies & procedures projects
  • Managed or supported the management of large and complex IT governance & service management projects end-to-end from inception and requirement to operations/support
  • Deep knowledge of assessing IT governance and service management maturity including IT polices, procedures, guidelines, standards, processes, and services based on deep analysis & leading practices and provide recommendations for implementation and improvement approach
  • Provide advice on which IT governance and service management framework or methodology is applicable to client environment and needs
  • Experience in designing and implementing clients’ It governance and service management landscapes including contribution to IT Strategy formulation and implementation within related domains
  • Deep knowledge of how IT service & governance management landscape and processes impact and integrate with different enterprise architecture layers including business, applications, data, security, integration and infrastructure
  • Apply knowledge and experience to shape services to clients and present project outputs

 

Domain Specific - IT services management and governance - Technical skills requirements

 

  • Completed technical higher education in the field of computer engineering, computer science, electronics, information technology, and relevant industry Certification on IT Service Management and IT Governance such as COBIT, ITIL, ISO/IEC 27001, and COSO
  • 3-5 years of experience working in a client facing role for a leading consulting or professional services company in delivery of large-scale complex cloud projects covering IT governance, service management, policies & procedures, and maturity assessment
  • Experience working on leading IT governance / service management tools and solutions such as ServiceNow ITSM, RSA Archer, and SoftwareAG tools
  • Excellent Project management experience (project scheduling, resource management, budgeting, reporting, etc.)
