Your Role and Responsibilities
The Business Partner MSP and GSI experience lead in this position will have experience and commitment to this priority. This role will partner with offerings leaders across Storage, Power, IBM Cloud, Z-Systems, TLS (Formally known as TSS), finance, Operations, IT/CIO team, GTM including sales and ecosystem partners to establish a “best in class” BP experience for the IBM X as a service platform and solutions offering enabling IBM Systems and Infrastructure to win in new as a service segment.

In this role, you will own Offering management activities in developing and delivering the IBM XaaS BP experience specifically related to the MSP and GSI requirements and expectations in conjunction with other product leaders across systems. You will play a broad role including both inbound tasks (30%) (establishing BP experience and operational requirements and their impact on business plans, defining strategic requirements, detailed requirements setting and execution, etc.) and outbound activities (70%) (creating BP program and operational frameworks, sales and market priorities, socializing offering and program vision, enabling go to market teams and the like). The team will consist of Operations experience managers, technical product managers, product owners focused on IBM XaaS platform, and solutions.



Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• Work in close cooperation with the Product Management Executive team, BP functional and sales leadership as well as other executives, peers and cross-functional colleagues to meet existing and evolving product and business objectives
• Provide direction to IBM Ecosystem and Marketing to ensure effective messaging
• Work with the program management leads to execute and deliver on launches
• Support any required business and financial planning from a BP lens including working with IBM Finance to develop plans to meet financial objectives
• Experience speaking with and presenting to customers or business partners, both pre- and post-sales
• At least 2 years as a service or cloud business experience in sales, marketing or other operational roles (IT order management, Ecosystem Operations, Quote to Cash, Cloud BSS…etc)
• At least 2 years offering management experience in IT systems development and/or product (offering) management
• Experience with participating in BP or sales and operational roles
• 3-5 years of Professional or academic business or Engineering experience.
• Must be at least an IBM Band 8
• Strong written and oral communication skills



Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
• Bachelor’s or MBA or advanced degree in computer science, Engineering or business
• Experience in XaaS “Everything as a service” model
• Foundational knowledge of data storage and data protection.
• Foundational knowledge of compute or Power Systems
• Foundational knowledge of cloud computing and cloud services.
• Foundational knowledge of technology industry or IBM GTM and distribution structures
