As a Senior Salesforce Technical Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading, managing and supporting various Salesforce technical projects throughout their full life cycle. This role will successfully manage software development or IT implementation contracts.

Program Mission…

The Digital Transformation Center (DTC) supports Veterans Affairs (VA) with onboarding and maintaining enterprise SaaS and PaaS solutions used to support the mission of serving our Veterans and their associated stakeholders. We are digitizing information and processes for improved implementation, leveraging modern tools and low code/no code for reusability and faster delivery.

Responsibilities...

  • Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Foster culture of innovation & platform evolution cross-functionally through strategic project delivery.
  • Strong defender of project constraints (i.e. scope, budget, quality & timelines) despite competing & evolving scope requirements.
  • Conduct negotiations with various stakeholders, risk assessments of various project options, and present recommendations.
  • Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project, scope, and risk.
  • Reviews deliverables prepared by team before passing to client.
  • Effectively applies our methodology and enforces project standards.
  • Prepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures.
  • Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
  • Reviews the status reports of team members and addresses issues as appropriate.

Years of experience: 10+ years of project management experience and 4 years of Salesforce project management.

Education: Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of equivalent experience.

Location: Fully remote in the United States.

Clearance: Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.



Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of technical project or program management experience.
  • 4+ years of Salesforce project management experience.
  • Proven experience with project schedules, timelines, and managing project risk.
  • Analytical skills to be able to successfully manage technically and organizationally complex environments.
  • Knowledge and experience with formal delivery methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall & Hybrid).
  • Strong aptitude to learn and adapt to technology.
  • Ability to adapt well to diverse environments.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with all levels in an organization.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to lead and work collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
  • Must be able to use a computer.
  • Must be able to communicate both verbally and in written form.
  • Must be able to obtain a government security clearance.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must have reliable internet service that allows for effective telecommuting.

  • Prefer project management professional certification (PMP)
