Job Description

As the Product Investigation & Field Actions Engineer, you will be responsible leading Safety Field Investigations related to part/product liability claims and safety concerns. 
Responsibilities include:
  • Providing remote & on-site support/assistance to GM-NAF field team as well as dealer to resolve complex technical issues and product concern
  • Product Investigator of GM Egypt and allied GM product sold in North Africa Region to achieve the requirements of:
  • Consumer protection laws
  • GM Field action review processes including Port activities
  • GM customer satisfaction objectives (Warranty, Customer survey) and brand health
  • Independently carry out 'Problem Solving' responsibilities.
  • Problem solving activities to achieve prompt resolution of product problems.
  • Problem definition, root cause analysis, evaluation of likelihood & consequence of a reported condition by drawing upon appropriate internal and external resources.
  • Operate within the guidelines of global investigations procedures and regulations.
  • Develop containment and field solutions in conjunction with stakeholders DRE and other departments
  • Lead the Engineering Analysis (EA); Potential Investigation Review (PIR); Open Investigation Review (OIR) and Safety & Field Action Decision Authority (SFADA) meetings
  • Approve internal communication of Field action launch and ongoing status: population, cost and completion rate
  • Lead and support the Global communication process on both emergent and approved field actions
  • Participating in regular regional and global meetings
  • Lead GMNAF communication with key stakeholders (Police, Dealers, and government bodies). Ensure technical content of GMNAF communications is accurate and appropriate
  • Engineering Department Budget Controller
  • Operational Excellence "OpEx" Single point of Contact

Other requirements:

  • B.Sc. in Engineering, preferably in Automotive or Production Engineering, familiar with the vehicle Sub-Systems & Components.
  • 2-4 Years of experience in Automotive industry & Customer care.

Skills/Job Requirements:

  • Active Person Manage through system.
  • Excellent ability in problem solving techniques
  • High Communication Skills
  • Fluent English and Arabic, both spoken and written
  • Excellent command of computer skills (PowerPoint is a must)
