Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Dynatrace Expert and Monitoring Lead with specialized knowledge in Indian Banking and expertise in Dynatrace, your role is instrumental in ensuring the robust monitoring, performance, and reliability of critical banking applications. You will lead monitoring efforts, guide technical teams, and drive operational excellence in a dynamic banking environment.

• Setup, install, implement and configure of monitoring tools – Dynatrace, Azure monitor and AWS CloudWatch.
• Build, manage and maintain end-to-end performance for all applications, workloads and environments for monitoring transformation for banking environment.
• Create and maintain dashboards, custom views, custom metrics, reports, and alerts as needed.
• Deploying and providing support to Application Performance Management tools, as well as firefighting production problems that are performance related.
• Analyze performance data and act on negative performance trends to identify root cause and configure monitoring tools for performance tuning.
• Support and enhance the system as required to support the implementation of new business applications and technology.
• Utilize your ability to implement and exploit performance tools from 3rd party vendors.
• Define and lead the implementation of the monitoring strategy, selecting the appropriate tools and technologies.
• Develop a monitoring architecture that captures essential performance metrics and provides actionable insights.
• Configure and customize Dynatrace monitoring agents, instrumentation, and dashboards to capture key performance indicators (KPIs) specific to banking applications.
• Ensure that Dynatrace is effectively integrated with all relevant application components.
• Establish real-time alerting and monitoring for critical application components, including infrastructure, database, and application layers.
• Lead incident response efforts, investigate issues, and collaborate with technical teams to resolve incidents promptly.
• Implement automated alerting and response mechanisms to minimize downtime and service disruptions.
• Implement preventive measures to avoid the recurrence of issues.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior monitoring professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
• Manage and lead a monitoring team > 10(more than 10).
• Consult with the development teams on large projects to provide services, ensuring:
  • There are no monitoring gaps.
  • The design has been optimized from a cost perspective.
  • The accuracy of the capacity plan
  • The completeness of the stress testing process
• Building and maintaining the monitoring dashboards Reports.
• Problem analysis and validation of classification.
• Set up Support services such that SLAs are met.
• Manage production tasks while keeping track of relevant debugging information.
• Create and maintain specific Monitoring Tool dashboards or views for application performance.
• Monitor APM dashboards and alerts to proactively identify and address performance issues and anomalies.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to respond to incidents, troubleshoot root causes, and minimize service disruptions.
• Analyze APM data to identify performance bottlenecks, resource constraints, and areas for optimization.
• Perform trend analysis, build dashboards, and make recommendations.
• Collaborate to resolve issues across client Application / Infra etc. Team, IBM Team, and 3rd Party.
• Effective handling of Critical Situation in relation to Severity 1/ Severity 2 and Critical Severity 3 issues.
• Work towards making the applications more efficient by implementing right monitoring services, automation, and items of next gen AMS.
• Perform basic and advanced scripting tasks and automate repeatable processes.
• Manage Service Levels effectively.

What you’ll do:

• Lead and oversee all aspects of application monitoring, leveraging Dynatrace to provide real-time insights into the performance and health of banking applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement robust monitoring strategies and ensure the achievement of Service Level Objectives (SLOs).
• Design, configure, and maintain Dynatrace monitoring agents and dashboards to capture key performance metrics and identify anomalies.
• Proactively monitor application performance, respond to alerts, and investigate and troubleshoot incidents and performance issues.
• Implement automated alerting and response mechanisms to minimize downtime and service disruptions.
• Conduct regular performance analysis, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews to continuously improve monitoring and application performance.
• Develop monitoring best practices and standards and provide guidance to technical teams to ensure adherence.
• Mentor and train junior monitoring professionals and foster a culture of excellence in monitoring practices.
• Create dashboards, custom views, metrics, and alerts in the Monitoring Tool.
• Manage and Ensure Effective Communication with the client.

• Continuously assess system performance, analyze trends, and identify areas for optimization and improvement.
• Develop incident response plans and participate in incident resolution, including post-incident analysis and documentation.
• Lead efforts to automate routine operational tasks and drive efficiency through automation scripting.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Good Understanding of Banking Environments
• Experience in designing and implementing sophisticated data visualization strategies.
• Experience in configuring monitoring tools like Dynatrace, ELK.
• Knowledge and Hands on experience in Dynatrace, ELK, AWS CloudWatch, and Azure Monitor.
• Experience using appropriate dash-boarding technology such as CA APM, Dynatrace, AppDynamics or New Relic, ELK.
• Experience in working in Dynatrace and ELK in the Indian Environment.
• Effective Handling of Critical Situations.
• Ability to handle Stress Situations Effectively.
• Should have led a team of more than 10.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Certifications related to APM tools(Dynatrace, ELK).
• Experience with cloud computing platforms and containerization technologies (e.g., Kubernetes).

• Familiarity with other APM and monitoring tools in addition to Dynatrace.
• Familiarity with industry-specific security standards and regulations in the Indian banking sector.
