We are looking for a talented individual who will be able to define the problem(s) we are trying to solve, the vision and the product strategy. The Sr. Product Manager will identify use cases based on research and data analysis, and deliver payment products with global cross-organizational business impact from initiation through to delivery. They continuously look around the corner for more optimal and innovative ways to make payments, seek simplification and are able to make trade-offs between business opportunities, time, resources and features. This role will especially focus on payment attribute and payee validation capabilities through in-house built products and 3rd party offered solutions.
This person is capable of working independently, working under ambiguity and conflicting priorities. They deliver through positive influence and alignment with stakeholders and leadership to get things done. The Sr. Product Manager drives clarity even under the most ambiguous circumstances. They work closely and effectively with cross-functional product (tech and non-tech), engineering, business, treasury, accounting and operations teams on identifying and implementing new payment products. This individual utilises their deep functional and technical understanding of payments to ensure that organisational goals, system scalability and customer needs are all met. The ideal candidate will also have superior analytical abilities and a track record of finding practical, simple and creative solutions for complicated problems without sacrificing quality or core functionality.


Key job responsibilities
-Identifying new payment opportunities that align with the growth and needs of our businesses and payees, and which support companywide goals
-Determining and defining a global strategy for payee validation product expansion and delivery
-Partnering closely with a cross-organizational project teams on delivering payee validation solutions in the US and internationally
-Owning the roadmap and influencing businesses to onboard to payment attribute and payee validation solutions
-Developing mechanisms and metrics that clearly measure success
-Managing escalations independently
-Communicating frequently and appropriately to leadership

Basic Qualifications:

- 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience as a product manager or owner
- Experience owning technology products
- Expertise in global payment systems
- Experience working with banks, and other payment services providers on product/service launches
- Demonstrated ability to succeed in a fast-paced and quickly changing environment
- A proactive self-starter

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
- Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders
- Technical fluency, comfort identifying key technical issues, understanding their business implication, and discussing alternative technical solutions.
- Strong data analysis skills; the ability to extract and synthesize data in order to make data-backed business decisions

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $110,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
