COMPLETE Senior Solutions Architect, Global Financial Services, Europe Insurance - Amsterdam

Job Description

AWS is looking for an experienced Solutions Architect to advise our global Insurance customers on how to best adopt and leverage AWS technology including AI/ML. This is an ideal role for someone with deep experience in the Financial Services industry, expert knowledge of financial services infrastructure and applications and a solid understanding of the transformational value of cloud technologies.

Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will serve as a core member of the Worldwide Financial Services Technology team, and play a key role in executing our go-to-market strategy. You will engage with customers including business & technology senior executives as well as our customers’ deep experts to determine business needs, identify opportunities and issues, and develop related technical solutions and value propositions leveraging the power of AWS cloud technology. You will be able to dive deeply into technical details (e.g. design choices, best practices, use cases) with customer teams and be a key contributor to constructive technical solutions discussions. You will help customers identify both the opportunities and risks with their technical decisions. You will take part in the creation and sharing of best practices, technical content and new reference architectures (e.g. white papers, code samples, blog posts) and evangelize and educate about AWS technology (e.g. through workshops, user groups, meetups, public speaking, online videos or conferences).

About the team
You will join a globally distributed team of Solutions Architects, how are working closely with our global insurance customers.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Amsterdam, NLD

Basic Qualifications:

- Experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients
- Experience working in Financial Services organizations, implementing solutions in a regulated environment and knowledge supporting related applications
- Fluency (spoken, written) in English
- Fluency (spoken, written) in German

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS
- Experience in a technical role within a sales organization
- Knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
- Experience in public speaking to large audiences
- Ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations and virtual teams
- History of successfully handling complex relationships and work in a team environment
