Our Consulting business offers a broad range of functional and cross-country services dedicated to providing high-value and trusted advice to clients, with a specific focus on business transformation programs in the Financial Services industry.

 

Your key responsibilities 

• You will become part of our Finance Technology team within our Technology Consulting practice supporting local as well as global financial services clients (Banking/Insurance/Wealth & Asset Management industry)
• Advising clients on finance transformation related services and solutions along the CFO agenda
• Be part of a team delivering large business led and tech enabled transformation programs with strong focus on managing / leading their delivery in a complex multi-national landscape
• Topics vary from project management, process improvement, business analysis, definition of future business/technical requirements, system implementation and, accounting/regulatory driven finance change (e.g. IFRS 17/9), performance management, and quality assurance of project deliveries
• Establishing the finance function of the future driven by digital and regulatory transformation, by using hybrid and/or agile methodologies
• Able to understand the requirements of every project phase and translating into project plan, deliverables (incl. oversight of all project delivery phases)
• Structuring and analyzing the as-is state, deriving insights, defining the to-be state and proposing actions to reach the solution
• Work on projects jointly with our strategic alliance partners by applying innovative technologies as SAP S/4HANA for Finance and MS Cloud services
• Participate in the development of our methodologies and tools
• Collaborative working environment across service lines, competencies and sectors in our Consulting practice

Skills and attributes for success 

• Degree (BA, MA, PhD) in economics or finance, business informatics, or business administration, aligning with a strong academic foundation.
• 6+ years of experience in Consulting with one or more market leading companies; proven experience leading projects, managing internal processes, and collaborating in fast-paced, complex, international environments
• Proven track record of applying robust analytical skills, underpinned by a solution-oriented and inquisitive mindset, to overcome complex challenges across diverse global environments.
• Embody reliability and precision in your work approach, ensuring consistently accurate and high-quality results.
• Showcase proficiency in structuring and systematically analyzing intricate problems, enabling effective problem-solving.
• Thrive as a collaborative team player, valuing collective contributions and contributing positively to group dynamics.
• Demonstrate a proactive, can-do mindset, prioritizing high-performance standards, and displaying focused, responsible, and independent work capabilities.
• Excel in interpersonal and communication skills, including interactions with C-level executives, while consistently exhibiting initiative and adaptability within a diverse, multinational team.
• Exhibit fluency in both English and German, with a recognition of additional languages as valuable assets.
• Bring practical experience in Finance, encompassing accounting, closing, consolidation, reporting, and budgeting/forecasting, with a history of collaboration across peers within the insurance and banking industries in DACH region.
• Possess a comprehensive understanding of various accounting/reporting systems and compliance with standards like IFRS, SII, SST, and EVM.
• Express a strong interest in Finance function-driven processes and the underlying IT systems, with a demonstrated ability to assess IT architectures and data models effectively.
• Possess knowledge of ERP systems, including SAP, as well as proficiency in reporting systems such as SAP Analytics Cloud, Analysis for Office, MS PowerBI, and similar tools.
