Your Role and Responsibilities
The Technical Support Professional is responsible for providing remote/onsite technical support and services for IBM z/OS and related Software.
In this role, you will apply Problem Determination/Problem Source Identification (PD/PSI) techniques in diagnosing and resolving complex technical problems for our clients/services teams. You will be collaborating with other worldwide support/development teams and organizations to ensure timely, accurate and seamless solution. Candidate must be able to work as a team and build up relationship across various teams worldwide. Candidate will also assist on pre-sales related activities such as requirement gathering, preparation of SOW and creation of new offerings. The candidate will be required to implement and maintain the solution built.
Requirement:
• Bachelor's Degree
• At least 10 years’ experience in z/OS and related Software
Required Technical Skills:
1) Experience in troubleshooting z/OS and related software
2) Experience in providing routine z/OS system maintenance related tasks
3) Experience to solution and implement z/OS related infrastructure:
- SMP/E
- RACF
- DFSMS
- z/OS version upgrade
- z/OS and storage related migration to new hardware
Additional/Optional Technical Skills:
1) Parallel Sysplex
2) MQ on z/OS
3) DB2 on z/OS
4) CICS
5) Omegamon
6) Storage related skills – DS8k, IBM VE, etc
