Your Role and Responsibilities
This is for a 2024 summer internship with the following start dates: May - August or June - September for quarter system schools.
The ideal candidate will possess a scientific and technical background as well as a strong passion forQuantum computing. The candidate will have the technical depth in computer science and/or operational research or equivalent experience and “hands-on” experience in Quantum related projects.
This requires familiarity with classical state-of-the-art approaches to one of several areas such as machine learning, optimization, andquantum chemistry .
As an intern, you will work on topics tied to specific deliverables and deadlines, which will expand your current skills while presenting a unique experience.
This is an opportunity to be at the forefront of science and technological transformations as a key technical leader. The ideal candidate will possess not only a detail-oriented mindset, but also strong creativity and communications skills coupled with interpersonal skills.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• Currently in PhD/Masters program in CS related fields with knowledge inquantum computing
• Experience in ML and/orQuantum Chemistry and/or Optimization such that the candidate should be able to write and review lines of algorithm using a range of programming languages
• Familiarity with classical approaches for optimization, machine learning and linear algebra.
• Familiar with Qiskit software.
• Detail-oriented team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to take a leadership role when necessary.
