Your Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking engineers in the area of advanced lithography tooling for semiconductors and related devices. The hired candidate will have expertise in tool ownership and development of critical lithography infrastructure for cutting edge semi-conductor processing. Some of the job responsibilities include understanding lithography tool limitations and process requirements, equipment performance monitoring and improvement, tool efficiency and performance modifications, process development on equipment, new tool install and qualification. The candidate must understand the fundamental principles of lithography, tool setup, photolithographic materials, and design layout for leading patterning methodologies from concept through implementation. The positions requires interaction with cross-functional and multi-company working teams that include engineers engaged in unit process development, process integration, design/layout, materials and process development, and computational technology. Generation of Intellectual Property for IBM and protection of it through the patenting process are also expected. The hired candidates must possess strong analytical and design-of-experiment knowledge, excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
You must be willing to work in Albany, NY, with occasional day travel to Yorktown Heights, NY, and infrequent overnight travel to various locations worldwide. (<10%)
This position requires BS degree in Chemical or Electrical Engineering, Materials Science or Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or a related field, with relevant industrial experience preferred.


Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Bachelor’s degree in a science or engineering discipline
  • Basic experience in Lithography
  • basic experience in Semiconductor processing
  • Basic Design of experiments


Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • MS/PhD. degree in a science or engineering discipline
  • 2 years experience in Lithography
  • 2 years experience in Semiconductor processing
  • 2 Years Design of experiments
