The Opportunity

 

We are currently seeking a Quality and Risk Management Associate in our Consulting practice. Our Consulting team is focused on helping clients improve business performance and operational efficiency while managing risk. Our teams help clients by delivering assessment, transformation and process efficiency solutions. We deliver value across the full spectrum of the business including strategic direction, customer and advisor engagement, operations, technology enablement, people and organization change, and program management and execution.

 

The Quality and Risk Management Associate will assist with quality and risk management enablers, including policies, processes, methodologies, training and tools to support our people in the delivery of consistent, high-quality service. The chosen candidate will develop subject matter knowledge and will be the initial or secondary point of contact for client engagement teams within the Consulting practice.

 

This position will provide research and analysis across one or more quality and risk functions or processes, including interpreting policies and processes, determining required actions and making recommendations based on firm guidance and acquired experience.

 

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to) your ability to:

• Understand the key requirements of the firm and regulators' independence rules and policies
• Assist client teams with obtaining background materials required to initiate business
• Provide non-audit testing of closed engagement records
• Assist client teams with fulfilling Quality and Risk Management (Q&RM) requirements during engagement pursuit and set-up
• Act as liaison between the client teams, other members of the Q&RM team and various functional areas within the firm
• Assist with the research and formulation of responses to queries from internal clients
• Manage tasks and activities related to the execution of the firm's pre-approval process
• Manage tasks and activities in a timely manner and is responsible for specific outcomes
• Build a network of people within Q&RM and across the firm
• Provide judgment to initial consultations and/or submissions review and rapidly develop an understanding of key requirements of firm and regulators' independence rules and policies
• Develop a comprehensive knowledge of existing policies, research issues and through situation specific inquiries, propose solutions to issues
• Assist with the delivery of training sessions for internal clients

To qualify for the role you must have

• A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration a related area
• Approximately 1-3 years related audit or risk management experience would be an asset
• Previous experience in Big 4 or Big 4 like environment is a plus would be an asset
