Yet, our mission to help each girl explore her unique voice and develop the skills, confidence, and courage to share it with the world has never been more relevant.
Here, girls enjoy unique learning experiences in and out of the classroom, supported by expert faculty who know and value each individual. Our students live in a supportive residential community situated on 500 beautiful acres in Virginia's countryside and form lifelong friendships with girls from across the United States and the world.
Whether you are passionate about science and technology, have a dramatic flair for stage performance, or ride horses as a competitive sport, Foxcroft's many offerings promote deep learning that comes from real-world experiences, challenging work, and much fun! Our learning goals and instructional practices are designed to support how girls learn best, with an interdisciplinary, collaborative, and experiential curriculum. Personal attention and programs that acknowledge students' many different interests, gifts, and learning styles help each girl discover the best way for her to learn.
At Foxcroft, you will be known and valued for who you are. Opportunities to lead and serve the community will teach responsibility and time management, strengthen empathy, and inspire you to make the world a better place. Learning and living with girls from across the country and around the world, students at Foxcroft expand their worldview and develop sisterhood bonds that they cherish their whole lives. When they graduate, girls join a network of more than 3,000 alumnae around the globe.
Foxcroft is a community built on trust. A Foxcroft girl is respectful to others, and their property dedicates herself to her academic pursuits and models the School's expectations both on and off school grounds. Every student in the Foxcroft community is expected to be honest in her academic work and interactions with community members. Lying, cheating, or stealing, including plagiarism and the use of any false identities, violates our honor code, is considered prohibited conduct, and will result in disciplinary action.
Foxcroft's academic program challenges you to develop the analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills you need and your own creative, confident, and independent voice as well. Terrific teachers want you to succeed, design hands-on, interdisciplinary lessons, and group projects with real-world value. In response to our rapidly changing world, the all-girls prep school faculty continually examines course offerings and teaching methods to prepare you for college, career, and anything else the 21st century may bring!
Foxcroft's comprehensive program also offers 76 courses, including 16 APs — in six disciplines and opportunities for independent study, additional courses online through One Schoolhouse, and a distinct humanities track for non-native English speakers. The multi-faceted STEM initiative, which informs all math and science curricula, gives you an advantage in crucial fields typically underrepresented by women, and required seminars in Digital Literacy, Wellness, and Financial Literacy to address essential personal skills.
