Scholarships and grants are two ways to get significant help paying for College without taking out large loans. The process of identifying and applying for different forms of financial aid may feel confusing, but it does not need to be.
Our team is here to walk you through the process with helpful information and guidance. The first step is to understand the difference between scholarships and grants better. Most students use a combination of both to help pay for their college education.
Scholarships are a form of merit-based financial aid that does not need to be repaid. These can be awarded by a non-profit, a local business, or even an individual. Your high school guidance office should have a list of local scholarships available. We also recommend checking with local organizations, businesses, and even your parent's employer.
We encourage students to apply for as many scholarships as they are eligible for and continue applying even after being enrolled and attending school. Our list of scholarships includes some popular options our students have applied for in the past, but there are scholarships for all kinds of interests and accomplishments, so keep searching.
