Just 15 miles from downtown Kansas City, Jewell has connections with successful alumni, entrepreneurs, business leaders, and nonprofit organizations among the metro'smetro's 82,000 employers. Use a Jewell Journey Grant or another College-sponsored grant to help fund travel and living expenses for internships worldwide. Paid and unpaid internships are available, many of which offer college credit.
Journey Grants are a unique program to Jewell that provides the freedom and funding for you to pursue your passions in far-flung places. Apply after your sophomore year for a self-designed adventure: transformative experiences, academic endeavors, and journeys of self-discovery await.
Jewell students have traveled to 49 countries for Journey Grant experiences. You can help villagers in Honduras develop sustainable food sources, volunteer in an African orphanage, shadow a physician in Hawaii, fund living expenses for an internship, or research at Glacier National Park in for a senior thesis. If you can imagine it, you can do it.

William Jewell College takes a comprehensive approach to awarding scholarships and grants. We will consider a student's entire academic record and application for financial aid when awarding academic scholarships. For many students, a combination of test scores and high school GPA doesn'tdoesn't tell the whole story.
