Moravian University College Olomouc (MUCO) is situated in the modern building of the BEA campus Olomouc. It is a unique high-rise building in the Olomouc region, which offers MUCO students the education campus from May 2013. New premises are used for studies of information technologies, economics, and management. Students and citizens are provided with access to the modern library Business Information Center as well as HUB laboratories. We offer the enterprises from all over the region a unique environment for cooperation and consultancy in IT and project management. Here they have access to graduates in key educational disciplines.

An application for studies shall be submitted electronically via the so-called e-application, and in written form, i.e., the completed application should be printed and signed. A certificate of medical fitness is not required for studies.

To begin the admissions process, it is necessary to provide the study department with the:

• Printed and signed application form
• Proof of payment of the fee for work associated with the admission
• Structured curriculum vitae
• Motivation letter
• Certified document proving acquired education.

Due to the development of regional background and reasonable employability rate of MUCO graduates, the areas of young people's entrepreneurship, economic-managerial education, socially responsible projects, and acceleration in enterprises are highly supported.

Within the cooperation with entities and partners of the BEA campus Olomouc, namely TESCO SW, Regional Centre Olomouc, BCO, BEACPP4OK and the Chamber of Commerce of the Olomouc region which is newly a part of the synergy of the BEA campus Olomouc, MUCO students have the opportunity to become familiar with the world of practice. During studies, they make valuable business contacts and do practical training. Students use gained practical skills in the preparation of student projects, especially in the field of economics, IT technologies, management of small and medium-sized enterprises. Cooperation with leading experts in the field is to the benefit of students, both within studies and during the last employment on the labor market. Science and research activities of MUCO focus on the area of economy, management, marketing, information technologies, and applied research based on the needs of the region.

Based on achieved outcomes, on 30th January 2015, MUCO was included on the list of research organizations of the Czech Republic by the Council for Research, Development, and Innovation. As a result of updating the legislation, MUCO requested for inclusion on the list of research organizations of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, where it was included on 3rd August 2017.

MUCO is also an active collective member of the Czech Economic Society (CES). Under the auspices of the Czech Economic Society, MUCO annually organizes at least one lecture by an eminent economist in the premises of the university. Within CES, MUCO academic staff also give lectures at other universities and the Biennial Conference of the Czech Economic Society.

MUCO is a private university focusing on the support and development of innovations by both scientific and practical activities. The survey, done in the year 2017 between our graduates, revealed that the graduates consider MUCO an entrepreneurial university with a personal and fair approach to students. As the university's key strengths, they have all identified the friendly atmosphere, modern facilities, expert instructors, and individual and friendly approach to solving problems.

More than 82% of the graduates consider knowledge, skills, and experience gained at MUCO usable in practice. However, they find it useful to strengthen teaching in the area of specific management and IT skills, including training in communication and presentation skills.

The form and extent of cooperation are based on the analysis of the current state of the enterprise. They are chosen individually, thus are tailored to the needs of each particular enterprise.
