At Indiana State, we integrate quality graduate programs with outstanding faculty and student research, internships, and clinical experiences. Also, the Center for Global Engagement, housed within the College, offers quality graduate and undergraduate education for international students and study abroad programs.
Since the initiation of the first graduate program in 1927, the University has grown to offer more than 75 graduate programs in the University's colleges of Arts and Sciences, Business, Education, Technology, and Health and Human Services. In addition to masters, specialist, and doctoral degrees, the University offers graduate certificate programs in concentrated areas of study, and professional development courses designed to fulfill continuing education requirements.
The Office of Sponsored Programs, housed within the College of Graduate and Professional Studies, helps faculty and students fund their research from sources such as the National Science Foundation and the National Institutes of Health. The Center for Global Engagement, also housed within the College, offers quality graduate and undergraduate education for international students and study abroad programs. Indiana State University is designated a Doctoral/Research University. We are committed to undergraduate and graduate research as offered through our Center for Student Research and Creativity.

Indiana State University offers more than 100 undergraduate majors. Optional minors are offered in more than 90 areas of study. Non-degree programs include certificate and licensure programs.
The College of Graduate and Professional Studies has primary responsibility for graduate study and research at Indiana State. Also, the Center for Global Engagement, housed within the College, offers quality graduate and undergraduate education for international students and study abroad programs.

Our goal is to implement the WHO definition of health for individuals, families, and neighborhoods through creative teamwork that facilitates health equity and social wellness using a mindset that prioritizes respect for all people, the strength of diversity, and the power of joy.
Recently ranked nationally No. 1 in public service by The Washington Monthly, the Center for Community Engagement connects Indiana State University to the community. We coordinate and support faculty and students' opportunities to learn and serve with community partners throughout the Wabash Valley and beyond.
Indiana State University students often work in jobs on the University campus and in the Terre Haute community. Many benefits exist for students who can balance the demands of work and school. Students who successfully manage classroom and employment commitments are much more likely to impress employers by demonstrating strong time-management skills. Working on campus or in the community also helps students connect with resources which may help them with challenges in and out of the classroom.
The Student Counseling Center (SCC) on campus provides counseling services to all registered students at Indiana State University. The counselors at the SCC provide confidential, culturally sensitive support dealing with the variety of personal concerns you may have. The mission of the Indiana State University Student Counseling Center is to provide ISU students with timely and effective mental health services that allow them to improve and maintain their mental well-being and, therefore, to meet their educational, personal, emotional, and psychological goals. We also provide outreach and consultation services that help create supportive learning and living environments, while at the same time addressing students' developmental needs to help them become useful and productive citizens.
