Glenealy School is part of the English Schools Foundation (ESF), Hong Kong’s largest provider of English-medium international education. ESF’s integrated network of 22 schools and comprehensive programme of after-school activities help to bring out the best in every student through a personalised approach to learning and by inspiring curious minds.

Glenealy is a community-based school and we pride ourselves on the positive relationships that we build with students, their families and the wider community. As an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School we offer a significant, engaging, and high-quality international education for our students. Using the IB Primary Years Program (PYP) as a framework, students learn through an inquiry approach where they are encouraged to explore concepts and ideas that are meaningful and relevant to their lives. We embrace the diversity of cultures within our internationally-minded community, and our students aim to make a positive difference.

Our curriculum is designed to be personalized, relevant, and meaningful to all. Offering appropriate challenges whilst supporting all student's academic, social, physical, and emotional needs. We draw upon the latest research, technology, and the expertise of highly qualified teaching staff including specialist teachers to enrich the curriculum. One of the features of this is specialist lessons in Mandarin, physical education, music, information, and digital literacy.

This enables us to develop a curriculum that is not tied to one country but is relevant and meaningful to our international community, embracing global citizenship.
